Due to growing up in an isolated environment, he struggles to make friends to the point that when he was young his uncle gifted him two hand puppets to play with to distract himself from his loneliness. However, instead of seeing them as mere toys, he saw them both as his imaginary friends.
Because he cannot communicate vocally on his own, his father has modified his hand puppets with magic to give them sentience and to share a mental link with him so they may speak in his place.
His hand puppets are named Epíthes and Aspída, both have the appearance of a dog and have their ownsonality respectively. Because of that, they and Y/n are all recognized as one student collectively.
He is a hellhound beastman and is equipped with dark gray wolf ears and a tail of the same color, both tipped with red fur.
He has shown an extreme attachment to the Ignihyde Dorm Head Idia Shroud after the third year thanked him once for helping him out of a crowded hallway during an anxiety attack; which Y/N did by complete accident. And again for the Savanaclaw Dorm Head Leona Kingscholar because he idolized him for being calm and collected in the face of chaos and danger, as well as Savanaclaw first-year Jack Howl because of their racial similarities.
