Neveah and Azure.
The two had known one another since high-school. To Neveah, she was was someone she wanted to avoid; someone to forget.
For Azure, she was a second chance. Someone that she could prove hers...

NEVEAH MONROE WORD COUNT: 2468 WORDS A/N: I know this was long, but I honestly had way too much fun writing this chapter 😭. Next one will be Azure's POV for those who are waiting for it. ENJOY!
We had arrived at the party. One by one, all five of us had gotten out of the car. This time, I made sure that Isaiah had left the door open for me so I could get out on his side.
Azure was acting off, and so were her actions. I didn't want another weird but nice-ish thing happening between the two of us. That is, if you can even call what had happened earlier something nice. It was a mere touching hands.
We had walked in the building, with me walking close to Isaiah. I had honestly missed hanging out with someone that could cause a possible relationship. Amir, Zora, and Azure had been walking behind us.
Zora and I had decided to leave our purses in the car, just so we wouldn't lose anything important; one major thing being our driver's licenses, or our dorm addresses. We had been matching, so we could just look for one another if we needed something. Worse comes to worse, we decided to fit our phones in our bras.
Once we headed in, I could instantly hear the music. It was like a stereotypical house party that you would see in movies or on tv. The music was loud, there were people everywhere; both upstairs, downstairs, and anywhere else. There were people all around, dancing with one another, grinding on each other up and down.
Some people had cups in their hands, probably alcohol. After all, this was a party. It wasn't that long before Amir and Zora left to dance with each other. After that, it was an awkward silence with me, Isaiah, and Azure.
There was awkward tension. "I'm going to go and get a drink." Azure says, being the first to leave. After that, it had just been Isaiah and I.
Isaiah is the first one to break the awkward and stuffy silence. "So, do you want to go and dance, or do you want to go and get something to drink?"
I had been nervous. My stomach felt weird. I wanted this to go so well. I wanted to make sure I had one of the best nights I've had in a while. Inside, my stomach felt squirm-ish. I thought a drink would bring it down and help calm me and my running thoughts. "Yeah, let's get a drink first."
Isaiah is apart of the whole sports team thing, so I'm pretty sure he's been here before. I placed my hand on his arm, walking with him side by side to the drinking area. I had grabbed a can. I didn't know what it was but in the moment all I wanted it to do was make my nerves go away.
Isaiah, like earlier, had a bottle of beer. I guess beer's popular with the guys or something. "Do you want to sit down?" I ask, opening the can of my drink.
"Yeah, sure, c'mere." Isaiah holds out his hand. I accept it, our hands locking entwined together. We walked together, sitting on one of the couches in the house.
