After explaining to everyone Jerry's strange comment Elwin starting interrogating us about how irresponsible and dangerous it is to spy on the councillors. Jerry sat through it all, looking beteewn all of us like he was trying to decipher what was being said.

Enzo was tried from summoning skeletons to hold Jerry down, and Elwin finally stopped ranting to get him some of his medicine. Enzo is a first of his power, a Dusk, and because of the side effects of his strange power Elwin has to use specially curated medicine in to help him heal.

Unlike most elvin powers which take physical or mental energy, a dusk uses "soul energy" to use their powers. Soul energy is the energy that stabilizes your sanity and keeps you more or less human. While when most elvin powers, if they run out of mental or physical energy, will tap into soul energy it's incredibly dangerous to use too much of your soul energy your mental state will slowly start to deteriorate and your physical state will unattach from the earth. Sometimes I catch Enzo literally walk through a tree. Elwin's medicine stops that.

Dusks are similar to to shades, they work in shadows. However, while shades deal with shadowflux, Dusks work with the shadows themselves. Manipulating, transforming, and removing them are some of the basic tricks Dusks learn. They can also shadow travel and use the shadows to travel and even bring bones and skeletons back to life. Enzo says that the shadows travel deep into the underworld and from there he can command the troops of the dead. It's quite scary.

Anyways, Enzo is also fluent in two human languages; Italian and English. I asked him about this once, but he refused to explain how he knew them. It's nice that I can whisper to him in Italian during gym and the other students never know we're teaming up to win dodgesplat. Dodgesplat is kinda like human dodgeball but a free-for-all you use a type of nontoxic elf paint instead. You use elfin powers to hold the paint together and send it towards other players. You then try and use your powers to grab the paint from midair and send it towards someone else. It's fun.

"Hello? I exist! I'm being held prisoner on the floor with skeletons holding me down and I need to pee. Will someone explain this? Nico?" Jerry tries to wiggle out of the skeleton's grip. Enzo looks at him then asks in Italian if I know a guy named Nico. I shake my head. Biana, who learned a minimal amount of English from me, asked me if I could translate. I gave her the gist.

"My friends and I need to know the plans of the Neverseen. Tell us and we will let you go," Biana said in a sweet voice. Her English is definitely improving, even after only a few weeks of lessons.

"I don't like empty promises, or lies." Was it just me or did he glare at Enzo? "Besides, you're not in charge. If you were, you wouldn't be hiding. The Fancy People are your boss, and you're working for them with your own motives. Trust me, I would know. Been there, done that." I made a mental note not to underestimate him, no matter how childish he appears.

"I bet you've always been a rebellious person. You have scars all over you, for Hades' sake." He eyed Biana's cuts and the long scars I had gotten on my arms from Umber. "Those are from when you were doing something The Fancy People didn't know of or didn't approve of. Once again, been there done that. I would say I got the t-shirt but usually all my t-shirts get ruined by monster spit." He said this all very cheerfully, like he wasn't trapped on the floor. "Now, if you would, you know, let me go, it would be great. Or, at the very least, tell me the truth." This was strange. Monster spit? For Hades' sake? It was obvious this guy was hiding something and couldn't be trusted. However, even though I know he's not innocent, I figured the Neverseen had messed with his brain as they had with Alvar's. So I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt.

"Some people, a rebellion group, have been terrorizing this city. My friends and I have been constantly been accused of being apart of them while also being attacked by them. People are getting hurt. If you're memories have been messed with or you're with them, we need to know to stop them." Jerry thought for a second.

"No, I haven't joined a group set on destroying a city in a while. One time I accidentally blew up the Gateway Arch, if that counts." He replied. I sighed inwardly, but I also decided not to trust him. He was smarter than he looked and he had a sword. These facts led me to believe he shouldn't be believed. There was still something he wasn't telling me, and the fact he had powers was still unexplained. I decided to leave the rest of the investigating to the councillors, though. I was done with interrogation.

Percy wouldn't stop calling me Nico.

I mean, that was my name, but the kelp head decided to not use his single brain cell and realize that I am undercover as an elf. I missed when me had amnesia. He wasn't an idiot then.

As the councillor's walked "Jerry" to this tribunal, I was told to walk behind him since I had amazing combat skills. My backstory was simple. I was a elf with rare powers, stolen by the Neverseen when I was younger and trained to fight for them. I "escaped," told the councillors of my rare powers, and told them about a guy who was apart of the Neverseen, Olin. Sooner than later I was in the circle of trusted people the councillors keep close to them. My father had warned me this was coming. He's promised that if I pull off this mission he'll reward me, Will, and any of our children with immortality. He says I'll live with Bianca and anyone else I wish to after they die. He also says he'll let us live our mortal life until we wish for immortality. I couldn't resist seeing my sister and immortality for Will. I'm no Percy.

Speaking of Seaweed Brain, he's being seated on the raised platform. I took my seat in the front next to Sophie. No matter what happens, this is going to be interesting.

I don't know if anyone's actually reading this, but I'm happy for all the views and likes. Thank you!

Also, I did some quick editing to this chapter because while rereading I noticed the obvious plot holes and strange dialogue that didn't really match with the character. I hope it's better now.
