It feels s-so cold.
It's so dark...... I c-can't b-b-breathe......Jin woke up his from his sleep or should he say a nightmare. His entire body was sweaty, he was shivering so hard , even though he was under two thick blankets. His breathing was unsteady and his mind was foggy, the traces of the nightmare were still lingering about fresh in his mind. The moonlight coming in through, between the drawn curtains made him feel a bit at ease.
Jin has been having this same nightmare from two months, even his doctor can't trace as to why he was getting this nightmare. That same voice, calling out to him laced with fear, begging Jin to save him, the same phrase repeating over and over "it's so cold ", well it was cold in his apartment right now, which was more than enough to make Jin's mind focus on the problem at hand.
He manages to tear off the heavy blankets off his body and stand up, his feet dragging him across the room. He made his way across the dark landing carefully for there were no moonlight to guide him down the stairs. Even though there was a light switch , he could rarely bother less about that for his hands were busy rubbing his shivering form, trying to warm him up.
As he made his way down the stairs to get the heating pads that he had put on the kitchen counter because he had thought that he might need them, his mind wonders off to tbe coversation he had with the man who had came to fix the heater yesterday. The man had told Jin that the heater had taken his last breath, okay he didn't actually said that but Jin was too cold at that time to listen to him carefully about some part of heater that was too damaged that it cannot be replaced and that the only solution to stay warm was to buy a new heater and guess what almost all the heaters in his neighbourhood had sold out, he had been lucky enough to find one with the help of his friend. His friend's uncle actually has a shop of heaters, but that was in another town so it will take atleast a week for it to be shipped here.
So Jin accepted his fate with a heavy heart which was to let his toes die of cold in this harsh winter. So the first thing Jin had done was to go and buy heating pads so that he doesn't die of hypothermia in the middle of night. He had brought about ten heating pads and left them on kitchen counter for he was too tired to put them in their proper place and it would be easy enough to just take them from the counter anyways.
He reached the bottom of the stairs, making his way to the kitchen and just like he had thought he found the pads resting on the counter. He took one in his hands, sighing as the warmth from the pad made his cold hands soothe down a bit.
He took two of the heating pads in his hands and made his way up the staircase, eager to go back to his precious sleep, not caring enough to put the other eight back in the cabinet.
After reaching his room and locking the door after him, he arranged the heating pads carefully in his bed before going back to sleep. Sleep came to him soon after his head touched the pillow. His mind going away in the deep slumber.
*Clank*
Any trace of sleep which was coming to him was long gone now. Jin was sitting up in his bed, back straight, his eyes wide open and his mind alert to the strange sound that he heard. In the dark silence he was pretty sure he had heard a clank even though it was quite faint. He strained his ears to pick up any sound but apart form his thundering heartbeat he got only silence in return. Had he imagined that sound, was his tired mind playing tricks on him. He waited a little while, to see if he could hear any more sounds , he didn't.
He decided to go back to sleep but before he could lay back ,he heard another sound ,distant, but it was clear enough that Jin could hear it. It was almost like, it almost sounded like someone was trying......to open the door........trying to open the DOOR!!!!!
