High School Musical: The Unrequited Love in Darkness

Finding Her

This story starts as just another day in East High School.

Troy was just walking through the hallways as usual, but this time, there was a girl so mesmerizing that he got lost in her eyes.

She had long purple hair, A shirt with giant skull on it, 2 spiky bracelets, and long ripped up black jeans.

He was so mesmerized that he fell down the stairs, people asked if he was ok and they helped him up.

When he looked up the stairs to see her, she was gone.

- The Next Day -
He tried asking around if anyone could tell him where the girl he saw yesterday was.

Most of the people he asked didn't know.

He eventually ran into Kelsi.
The songwriter for the drama club. Usually she'd be belittled by Sharpay, the most annoying, pampered egotistical brat in East High.

But on that day, Sharpay wasn't in the school because she got sick. So she was writing songs alone.

She was surprised the #1 basketball player of East High had any interest in talking to her.

People like him usually shove their spit in her ears and laugh as they shove her into the school lockers.

The awkward shy girl explained that goth he was looking for, was a loner who hated people and she explained that she once caught the goth drawing in her notebook.

According to the songwriter, it was so disturbing, it gave her nightmares.

She even directly explained what the goth said to her yesterday by quoting her saying
"God... This place is such a fucking dump. I'd rather be dead. The sweet release of death would be better than spending another second inside this shithole."

The shy songwriter told the basketball jock
"You should just give it up, she probably killed herself by now."

Troy couldn't accept the fact that the girl he was looking for hated the school so much to the point she considered suicide.

So he stupidity looked everywhere in the school for the mysterious goth.

Going to every place he could think of. He traveled through forests, mountains, and a prison inside of a police station.

When he asked the police, they told him
"Kid.... We've got bigger things to worry about... We don't have the time to go looking for some emo who with daddy issues... Go home."

The basketball player got so pissed off, he tried arguing with the cops and the argument escalated so much to the point that he attempted to punch the cop in the face.

But The cop grabbed his arm and slammed him to the ground. After that, he called the boy's parents and they forced him to go home.

The search ended in failure.
It only ended with a pissed off cop and his parents screaming at him. Telling him off for being an idiot.

After getting screamed at, told off by his parents, got grounded, and being forced to do chores for 12 hours everyday for an entire week.

Troy has given up the search.

Once the grounding was finally over, he dropped down to his bed and he sighed as he layed in his room.

Cursing God for making him desire such a dark creature.

- The Next Week -
He sadly walked through the school hallways, holding his head down in failure. Completely giving up on finding her.

Chad tried talking to him, but he was too busy brooding over his lost crush.

As he was doing his walk of shame. He was deep in thought.

Love is fake.
it's a fairy tale. A fake story for people to cope with their shitty lives.

Fiction.
Bullshit.
Not real.

No matter how much he wanted it.
It'd never happen. He was just a basketball jock.
Nothing more.

He'll spend the rest of high school playing basketball with a bunch of sweaty dudes.

Being completely alone...
With no one to talk to besides the overly controlling douchebag he calls his best friend, and guys with basketballs for brains.

He'll realize he peaked in high school, and when he graduates, he'll have a crappy job flipping burgers for the rest of his life.

He'll be like a real life version of Spongebob.
His best friend Chad will be Patrick and his dad will be Squidward.

The 2 of them will go off on many adventures while annoying the shit out of his dad.

"Oh God.... Is this really what the rest of my life will be like?..... A fucking cartoon?... Am I really just gonna spend the rest of my life being some clown flipping burgers for the rest of his life."

As he was deep in thought, he entered the classroom, sat on his desk, and put his head down on his desk with tears in his eyes.

"Dude... What's wrong? You've been acting weird all day."

Chad curiously asked noticing the weird behavior of his best friend.

"She's gone..... I had a chance to meet the girl of my dreams and I blew it... She's gone....."
Troy said thinking the girl committed suicide.

Chad looked at Troy with a slightly annoyed look on his face.

"The girl of your dreams?...... You only saw her for 5 seconds..... Don't you think you're being a bit ridiculous?"
He asked.

After hearing his friend point out how ridiculous he was. Troy started crying even more. The tears were leaking off of his seat like a cartoon.

"Cheer up Troy. There's already a girl who'd gladly go out with you."
Sharpay told the miserable jock.

"Really?!!!!! Who?!!!!!"
The sad boy excitedly asked, jumping off his seat.

"Me."
As she answered,
Troy dropped his head back into the desk so hard, he cried even more harder, the tears were now flowing on the floor and entire class was looking at him.

"FUCKKKKKKKK!!!!!!! WHY DO I ALWAYS HAVE TO FUCK EVERYTHING UP?!!!!!! WHYYYYYY!!!!!!"
Troy said through the waterfalls of tears coming out of his desk.

If it wasn't so sad, it'd be comical, seeing the waterfall of tears. It was like a real life cartoon.

Just as Troy was accepting that he'd never see her again, he heard a door being kicked open and the girl went inside the classroom.
