Once Claire got home, she was ready to hand over the slip of paper to her mother oy to find that her mom wasn't home yet. Claire walked into the kitchen to see her mother shifting through mail at the island counter.
"Mom..." Claire spoke entering the threshold into the kitchen as her mother looked up from her activity.
"What do you want, Claire?" She asked setting the mail to the side, as Claire took off her bookbag to open it and bring out the permission slip.
"My school is having a field trip to a historical town, it's a mix of two different subjects so the school made it one big field trip," Claire explained while handing the paper to her mother for her to look over.
"How many classes are in this subject?"
"Eight classes.." Claire said as her mother opened a drawer near her seat, as she shifted through the drawer pulling out a pen. She continues with questions.
After the questioning, Claire's mother signed the paper and handed it back to her daughter. Claire was quick to leave the kitchen and go back up to her room for the day until dinner.
