I opened my eyes to the view of the purple ceiling in my room. Along with the sound of my alarm clock buzzing through my ears. It was irritating as I was having a really good sleep. I snoozed and went back to sleep, forgetting that it was a school day today. My alarm clock buzzed again after what it feels like 5 minutes.
My hands moved to the side table to grab my phone, with my eyes still closed. As i was grabbing my phone, it escaped my hands and dropped on the floor. The cracking sound of my phone woke me up. I opened my eyes, got up from bed and checked the time. 8 a.m. "Shit." I mumbled to myself, remembering it was my first day of high school at a new school today, and i was already late. I hurried to the bathroom and took a quick shower. I got myself dressed and took a look of myself in the mirror. I looked alright. I would usually go to school barefaced. I hate putting on make up on my face in the morning. But today, I had the urge to apply some because I looked pale. After that's done, I looked at my reflection in the mirror one last time before heading downstairs. I breathed, feeling satisfied with how I looked and left my room.
I got downstairs to see breakfast was prepared on the table. I was running late, so I grabbed the left over banana blueberry smoothie I had made last night in the fridge. I'm not really the type to eat solid food in the morning. Hence a smoothie will do. "Mom! I'm late for school and I'm not eating breakfast." i yelled from downstairs while putting a sock on my feet. "But i took last night's smoothie" I continued.
There wasn't any reply from her. She must have slept back after preparing breakfast for me. I shook my head and smiled at the thought of that. I slipped in my black Nike shoes and opened the door. The weather was nice and cold this morning. I love.
The school isn't that far from my house, it's about a 10 minute walk. I'm attending Bishop Ireton High School. I don't know how to feel about this. The thought of going to a new school and making new friends makes me feel some type of way. I'm nervous, and I'm obviously not good at making friends. I moved school because my parents bought a new house, and Bishop Ireton is located near to my house. I do miss my old friends from old school tho. But life needs to move on. I sipped the smoothie while walking, and as I was getting closer to school, I feel the nervousness starting to build up in me.
I arrived at the school went to the information counter. I was greeted by a woman. "Hi, how can I help you?" She spoke. "Hi, I'm Brianna. I'm a new student here." "Ah, welcome to Bishop Ireton." She gave me a warm smile. "Here is your timetable. Your first class will be at classroom A01." She handed me my timetable. "I hope you'll have a great day!" I thanked her and walked to find my class. I sort of got lost trying to find where my class is at. As I was walking, a tall guy who was running and laughing came out of no where and accidentally hit me. I fell to the floor. "Ouch!" i said out loud. The tall guy stopped and looked at me. His mouth was wide open. "I- I'm sooo sorry! I was running and accidentally hit you." He spoke and reached out his hand to help pull me up. I stood up and thanked him. He starred at my face for a few seconds, and then looked away, finding this awkward. "Sorry um." he looked down, and looked back at me. "Are you okay?" he asked. "Yeah I am, no worries though". "You sure? I'm really sorry for that." "It's alright. I gotta get going. i'm late for class" i replied and hurried to my class. Damn. that guy is so goodlooking. My inner self whispered. He is tall, with light brown hair and hazel eyes. God dammit.
My teacher wasn't in class yet the moment I enter. What a relief. The class was noisy, basically people chatting and laughing with their friends. I entered the class, feeling awkward and shy. Imagine entering in a class full of people you don't know. I came in not knowing what to do. I was actually finding a place to seat. But the situation was awkward. Very, awkward. As i was looking up for an empty seat, a face blocked my view. "Are you new?" a blonde boy with glasses asked me. "Yeah and i'm finding an empty seat". "There's one at the back there, next to a guy. But you probably would not want to seat there. Here, take my seat". He offered. I don't understand why he thinks that I would not want to seat next to a guy. It doesn't matter anyway. I'm alright with sitting next to anyone.
His seat is placed in the middle, under a fan. It is also surrounded by girls on both the left and right side. I placed my stuff and took a seat. After a while, the guy who accidentally pushed me showed up. God dammit. dont say that he's in the same class as me. I thought to myself. He was laughing with his friends on the way in, until he saw me. His face turned pale. He came in and took a seat behind me. Dammit.
"Surprisingly we're in the same class hahah". His voice was deep and raspy. "Matthew. Matthew Espinosa. Just call me Matt" I turned behind, feeling awkward. I smiled at him. "Bri-" "Ah! We have a new student here!" I was cut by my teacher. "Welcome to Bishop Ireton. I'm Mr Raymond and i'm your Math teacher" He spoke and took a seat. "Brianna" i continued my unfinished sentence to Matt.Hey guys! So this is my first ever story I have writen.
