Innocent until proven guilty.

Two months, the judge has sentenced me. A federal crime shouldn't be that long. I leave for jail in four hours. Oh how I will miss the grass, the sun shine and simply everything. Before I leave, I tell my wife goodbye and kiss the kids goodbye. The judge said that I can bring one object with me, hence I decided to bring my Holy Bible.

I walk into intake. There are two rows of chairs; one with an African American lady, and in the other row is a short white lady. The corrections officer instruct me to strip down naked, then squat and cough. After another  female corrections officer orders me to take a shower. The shower had mold on the floor. The brick wallpaper was peeling. The metal shower heads were rusted. After my intake process, they take me to a room where I wait for about 7 to 8 hours before they move me to room 500, on the fifth floor.

I get to my bunk in room 513, there is a total of 5 ladies in this room. We're stuffed. There are three sets of bunk beds. I make the six lady. There is Smalls, she is the Pod boss. Please mind me not to get on her bad side. And the other four ladies are not too important for any introduction right now. I make my bed, and Smalls is asking me how I ended up in the Henrico County facility jail and much more.

A week goes by ~

This sucks. They wake us up around two A.M for headcount. Simply to make sure everyone is alive. They don't care what room we sleep in. Heck, I could sleep in a different pod and the corrections officer would not realize. I believe the corrections officer in charge of this pod is called Miss.Brown. She's a bit obese. She's beyond rude. It's inevitable that some call her a bįcth. Then around six something they wake us up for breakfast. Honestly that's just bread and bologna. And if you are good for a week, you can get some mayonnaise. Yay. If we are lucky every other day, we can something called Rec time. Where can get an hour in a room to ball basketball, or lift weights. Don't forget, that's only if we are good. Then we are on lockdown until nine p.m. something when they want to get us some supper. Then back to our cells.

Overarching thesis: don't get in trouble. Simply don't get caught.
