Milo walks down the hallway to his tiny apartment with one of Godric's men following behind him. Milo pulls his keys out but freezes when he sees his door is already partially open. He rushes in to see his place has been ransacked. The TV, laptop, and his small safe that contained his savings, were all gone.
"How can this get any worse." A beep comes from his answering machine indicating he has an unread message. Milo sighs and presses the button.
'Listen Milo you've missed two shifts in a row. No phone call or anything and that's not only unacceptable but unfair to your coworkers. I'm sorry but I'm letting you go don't bother showing up tomorrow.'
"What? What the hell! I'm a cashier at Quicky Mart not a fucking heart surgeon! That bastard Franklin has just been waiting for an excuse to fire me!" Milo rants.
"Hey, get your hands off me!" A greasy-looking man yells as Godric's man has him pinned against the door.
"It's just my landlord." Milo sighs tired of all her misfortune tonight and now she has to deal with her transphobic landlord.
Godric's man releases the landlord who glares and puffs out his chest to be intimidating. "I'm here for the rent. You're two days late."
"I don't have it, as you can see I've been robbed and fired because I missed work while being kidnapped."
"I don't care about your excuses you tranny."
"You should care because it's your fault they broke in! Why isn't your security better?" Milo flips him off showing the smiley face painted on his fingernail.
The landlord turns red in anger and goes to hit Milo but Godric's man knocks him out before he can touch Milo. Usually, Milo can brush things like this off and keep strong but it's all too much. Milo sits on his couch and starts to cry.
