"Um... uh... er...nothing.." Your brother replied, nervously.
For the first time in years, you saw a hint of tension in your friends expression. Finally that face got the emotion it deserved, it wasn't a positive one but, it is something.
"What have you guys been talking about?" You asked.
"Your... surprise party!! hahah... yeah... Happy Birthday!!" Your brother said, you weren't an expert, but you didn't have to be one to know that he was lying.
"Quit lying!! I know a liar when I see one. My Birthday is ten months away!" You yelled at him. "Kuni, what have you guys been talking about?" You turned to your friend, who didn't seem like he was going to talk anytime soon.
"So erm.. y'see there's this something we want to tell you." Your brother said.
"I'm actually a-" right when your friend was about to tell the truth, your brother slapped a hand over his mouth.
"He's an alien! shocking right?" your brother said.
"You don't believe in aliens. You always dismissed my stories about them." You retorted.
"Well, I finally found one, this little dude, so like, wow I'm a believer now!" Your brother exclaimed, you felt yourself shiver from his corny tone.
"Oh come on brother.. even a baby can tell that you're lying." Your eyebrows furrowed as you looked at him disappointingly.
"He's a unicorn.." Your brother whispered. "I don't think you'd believe it so I didn't want to tell you."
You felt the need to vomit out of his corny acting. God, he was embarrassing.
"Just tell me the truth please." You said.
"Fine, so surprisingly, your little suspicious friend turned out to be a puppet made by our archon and he is a very big potential threat to you and everyone in his household and we should surrender him to his momma." Your brother blurted out.
"Oh, just tell me the truth will you!" You said angrily.
"That is the truth!" Your brother replied, a little annoyed with your stubborn attitude.
"Oh yeah, my friend is an archon's creation-! THAT friend throws fish at foxes so they could be the villain in my story!" You exclaimed.
"he's being truthful." Kunikuzushi said.
"Ohhh..." You trailed off, a little ashamed that you didn't believe your brother when he was actually telling the truth. They both stood there waiting for your reaction, restless while silence was brought to the room. "...Okay!"
"What...?" Your brother questioned you while you didn't have a single worry in your mind. "Are you saying okay to surrender him to his mama or what?"
"What? No! of course not! you're evil." You looked at your brother, mad.
"So that's your initial reaction? 'okay'?" He stared in disbelief.
"Um, yeah.. Kuni is my friend, who cares if he's a puppet? he's still my friend." you smiled at your friend. For a split second, you thought you saw the side of his lips rise upwards, then you realized you were probably just hallucinating.
"Jeez, children nowadays.. okay then. I'll leave you both to it." Your brother left the room and left you two alone, you turned your body towards your friend who stood frozenly in place.
"So... is that true?" You approached him. Finally breaking his frozen position, he nodded.
"do you hate me now..?" he asked.
