I ordered a fast mourning period for Soth's death, but his body would remain hidden for if it was shown then it would be obvious that I melted his face off with acidic poison. I had his body destroyed so no one would know because then I would loose my thrown.
Since I was the heas general and Soth had no children, I inherited not only the kingdom and everything and everyone in it, but the mountains of gold that lay in the castle. I went to Algren and asked for more lessons but they no longer needed to be secret. He agreed because like all dragons, he loved gold. I soon mastered poisons and then studied alchemy. This allowed me to make gold out of stone. This came quickly to me so I mastered that too. The two lessons only took about 4 years to master, not that long at all.
I then studied necromancy and learned very powerful spells that could do a lot, even bring back the dead. I then knew what to put the dragons of the night back on the map as the best and the strongest dragons. I was to first transform the gardens into a practice arena.
In order to accomplish that, I needed slaves. Since Soth never went to battle, we had none. I learned a little more necromancy then had Algren killed saying he was a traitor who only pledged his allegiance to Soth. He was arrested, tortured, then killed.
I used a spell to bring a species of animal long forgotten and long extinct; the human race. When they created the first dragons, they insured their doom. The dragons got out and started to pillage and plunder. They used humans as slaves, to make more dragons, for target and hunting practice and so much more. Soon thereafter the humans all died. I called their spirits back to build a training arena so that my army, Linoth's army would rise to the top. It took a whilex about 10 years, but it was done. It was the best and the biggest.
The arena was built out of the wood of oaks and stones of the mountains, the strongest things. Then I turned them into diamond- pure diamond. It could withstand anything. Every detail was made out of perfect and pure diamond. It glittered at all hours and was the best ever made.
The first thing my army did was learn how to shoot poison at an enemy. Some took longer than other to learn it, but they all did and were able to do it perfectly. The poison only worked when shot in the eyes otherwise it would just burn. There was no spell needed which made this move even better. They also learned how to excrete poison from their skin and claws which was perfect in claw to claw battle. They learned how and where to attack a dragon and how to use the night sky as cover. They were unstoppable. They could attack from far and close and only the best survived training.
It took two years to prepare them for battle but it was well worth it. We earased the ice dragons from history in just three days. The other species caught on fast that this was a mission of conquest and soon we fought with all the other dragons until they all died. That is except for two. Those stupid water and fire dragons eventually led to me dying here.
We fought for 25 years. They just wouldn't give up. We took some for slaves and that's when we noticed something strange. I ordered for the presence of two of my slaves, one a fire and one a water. Their names were Sareth the female water dragon that I kept as a maid and Phenix the fire dragon I used to keep the fires throughout the kingdom lit. They both came in at the same time and the red glow around Phenix slowly diminished as Sareth started to turn gray. I ordered them to move to opposite sides of the room and they started to get back to normal.
I then asked them what happened and Sareth told me about how water and fire dragons can't be near eachother or they die. I asked Phenix to explain it too to see if I could get more details but he just said the same thing. They didn't know why, it just happened.
I then got my brilliant idea. Surround both armies and push them together using the night as cover and spitting poison to get them to do it. It was genius. From then on we won the battles and they stood no chance. I almost had it all...
