  ~The morning was fresh and the howling of the wind woke me up. Winter has been storming through Kings Landing for a past few months now. Fresh air seeped under the covers as Aemond was no longer lying next to me. He got up before me, if I didn't have important work to do myself, I would be angry that he left me to wake up alone.

His absence gave me time to go to Aegon. I got dressed quickly and headed to his place.

I stepped into the room where Aegon was staying and found him standing in front of the window.

- It is me.

- Oh I thought Erryk wanted another gossip session.

- That sounds like something he would want to do.

- Hah, he is not exactly the most interesting company.

I reached him and hugged him. Both he and I needed this kind of contact.

- I want to know everything, Aegon.

- There's nothing to know, Aemma.

- Was it Aemond?

His silence told me everything.

- What good intentions? He locked you in a cell?!

Before I started to sneak away, Aegon took my hand and looked at me tenderly. If eyes could speak, I'm afraid to think what would his say. Deep down I knew what feelings he had for me, but I thought if I didn't give them meaning they would disappear.

I smiled warmly at him and left.

I walked through the corridors of secret passages and started to do a little research. I knew which door led to which room, until I heard a commotion behind one of the doors. It was a door that had holes carved into it as decoration, so I could see what was happening in that room. I didn't know who that room belonged to. I got closer and as any person would do, I started to eavesdrop.

Who else would be there but my husband and his grandsire. So that's where Otto was hidden.

- Listen to me carefully. I always thought of you as a reasonable man, you are everything we planned for Aegon to be. I can't imagine a better king than you. Your mother and I prepared you well for that role.

This conversation seemed to be some kind of argument. The speech that Otto gave him seemed like a persuasion to me.

- The only reason I approved your marriage to Aemma was because of the position you were given. I knew that Viserys would not give up on the idea and that she would remain his heir. The only way I can save the kingdom is for you to marry her. Aemond, she's weak. This is not a person who should lead the kingdom, not to mention the fact that she is also a woman. This has never happened in our history. You, the people respect you, you have awakened awe in them, the people recognize you as their leader. I am the only one who sees it and I share it with you because I know that you are the only reasonable person who will understand this as the only truth. If you feel something for her, believe me that any other woman can give you the same, if not more. I'm glad you didn't put the baby in her, it just makes my plan easier.

I can't believe what I'm hearing. What a snake of a man. Daemon was right, you can't trust Otto. These words are equivalent to a death sentence. He plans to kill me.

All this went through my head as I listened to what he was saying, until I thought about what was going through Aemond's head. He was silent, is it possible for him to question his feelings for me, is it possible for him to trust this liar?

- I wish you get what you deserve. When I carry out my plan, you will be the only true heir. You get to marry a woman of your own choosing, not on the basis of some agreement made without your knowledge and approval. You put a child in her and get yourself male heir, just as the rules say.

I couldn't see Aemond's face because he was standing with his back turned. I'm in disbelief, I'm waiting for his answer. My heart wants to jump out of my chest and my breathing has stopped.

- How long have you been planning this?

- Ever since I knew you were going to get married.

- When did you plan to implement that plan?

- Honestly, I expected someone to do it for me, the ones who kidnapped her for example. That would have been perfect but she had to come back and make it difficult for me. I am ready to do anything for you Aemond.

- I would then become king? Her crown wouldn't go to her brothers?

- No, you as her legal husband get everything that is on her name, including the title of king.

Silence, which lasted a few moments.

- I would spare you any work, you should just come to the coronation ceremony.

- Is it so?

- Yes, imagine yourself on the Iron Throne, alone.
