The Stereo Kicks tour was now officially over. I had the best time on tour with the boys and we were all so lucky to be able to go on the X Factor tour and then go straight onto the boys' own tour. Travelling up and down the country doing what I love doing with the people who mean so much to me meant the world. Only very few people get to live their dreams and sometimes I still have to pinch myself thinking that all of this is just me day dreaming whilst in a boring lesson in sixth form.
But then I realise that this is real, the dreams I thought would never come true have turned into a reality for me, and I have some pretty exciting news too. The boys realised their lyric video for 'Love Me So' and as the fans were already pre ordering the single, it charted on the ITunes charts, the boys haven't even been together a year yet and already they are doing amazingly well and I couldn't be more proud of them. Not only this but after the lyric video was realised, the actual music video was realised too and it was amazing and the reaction of the fans and the support they give the boys was incredible.
As for my exciting news...the boys didn't know yet. And today was the day they would find out what I had been up to when I wasn't with the boys or on tour with them. I told the boys to meet me in a studio in London, where I would tell them the big announcement.
It was 11.30 in the morning and the boys should be here anytime soon, I was mucking about with a song I had been working on when all of the boys came into the studio. "Hi Millie!" They all shouted. "Hi guys." I replied going round and hugging them all, and giving Reece a quick peck on the lips. "So what's this exciting news?" Barclay asked, reading everyone's mind.
I looked at their eager faces, trying not to laugh. "Its been so hard to keep it from you, and its been hard trying to balance everything out with the tours. I don't know if you guys have noticed but for a while now I've been sitting in corners with a note pad and a pen, the reason being is because I'm writing songs." I stopped making sure they had all processed what I had just said.
"Yeah, we all knew you wrote songs anyway." Jake stated. "But you didn't know what I had been writing them for..." I said, hinting towards what the surprise was. "Basically at the start of this year I was approached by Simon, as in Simon Cowell, he said he wanted to see how well I did on the X Factor tour for something big. He didn't say what but he said it would come together like a jigsaw puzzle. He asked me if I wrote my own songs to which I replied yes, he said to keep writing them so that's what I did."
"Once the X Factor tour was over, he said I did an amazing job and to meet him at this studio the following week and to bring all the songs I had ever wrote, when I got there he went through all of my songs and asked me to perform some of them. After I had performed the ones he asked me to, he said I was a very talented musician who he wanted on his team." I finished to see all of the boys mouths drop to the floor.
"What are you trying to say?" Casey asked. "What I'm trying to say is that Simon Cowell wanted to sign me to Syco. Obviously I said yes and he said that the songs I had wrote would most likely go towards my first album that will come out at the start of next year when its all finished. And as for my first single, it comes out in October and its called Broken Pieces. Its not a sad song, its an upbeat song so it shouldn't make you cry." I laughed.
"Millie! Are you joking?" Charlie asked in disbelief. "No, I promise, I know how you feel because I keep having to pinch myself to make sure I'm not dreaming." I giggled. All of the boys ran towards me embracing me in a massive group hug, with everyone cheering and shouting. Once everyone had let go, Reece picked me up by my waist and spun me around as I held onto his shoulders.
"I am so proud of you little one." He smiled. "And I'm so proud of you too gorgeous." I smiled back, Reece crashed his lips to mine in a passionate kiss. "Would you all like to here it?" I asked excitedly. "Yes!" Everyone shouted. I pressed the play button allowing my single to play through the studio. It sounds so weird saying that, 'My single'...I never ever thought I'd be able to say that.
Once the song had come to end the boys said how amazing and catchy it was. They said it would rocket straight to number 1 in the charts and I hope they were right. I also sang half of the song with just my guitar for the acoustic version.
"I've also got a question to ask you..." I said interrupting the boys from their individual conversations. "What is it?" Chris said getting excited. "Would you film two covers with me for mine and your channel on YouTube?" I asked. "We were going to ask you the exact same thing, what songs would you like to do?" James asked. "First I need to film my cover of King by Years and Years then we can do our covers." I smiled, getting up to film my cover with my management and my 'team'. That honestly sounds so weird saying that, I don't think I'll ever get used to it.
After finishing my cover, and getting positive comments about it from all in the studio, it was time to film my cover with the boys. Me, Reece and Tom would be playing the guitars for both of the covers. The First song was Heartache on the big screen by 5 Seconds of summer and that would be going on the boys' channel and then the second cover was Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran which would be going on my channel.
After the boys and me had finished the recording and filming for the covers, we ordered dominios to celebrate everything. "I just want to say a big thank you to you guys." I smiled. "Why?" Tom asked. "Because without you lot saying to Louis about me singing then I wouldn't be where I am now, so thank you." I smiled. The boys pulled me in for a group hug as we waited for the pizza...what a perfect end to a perfect day.
