I jolted awake to the sound of my alarm. 'Why do I have to get up so early?' I thought. I fumble around for my phone on my dresser and turn off the alarm. I'm about to go back to sleep when my door bursts open.

"Olivia! Time to get up! We have a long day ahead of us." My dad said as he turned on my light.

"I'm up, I'm up" I grumble as I hide under my sheets trying to escape the light. I finally climb out of bed and stumble to the bathroom. I brush my teeth and hair and start getting everything packed. Today we are moving to Washington. All the way across the country. If it was my choice we should have stayed but my parents both work for Walmart and we're being moved to a new area that needs more computer engineers. And my dad just happens to be one so... yay.

I should probably introduce myself. Hi my name is Olivia Fraser. I'm 16 years old and I have twin sisters Reagan and Hanna, who are 12 years old. We live in North West Arkansas so Washington is a bit far for us. It is going to be a long day.

After I get everything ready, I pour myself a bowl of cereal and started texting my friends

Good morning - Olivia

Hey girl - Gianna

Hi - Lilly

I'm gonna miss y'all so much. I'm going to text you every chance I get - Olivia

I'm gonna miss you too and you better. Or me and Gi are going to hunt you down. - Lilly

Me too and I second that - Gianna

I know but it won't be the same. I'm gonna miss having y'all as running buddies. I'll have to convince my mom to let me run on my own. - Olivia

Good luck with that. - Gianna

"Livvy! Are you ready to go!" Hanna yelled.

"Almost!" I called back.

I gotta go. I'll text y'all when I land - Olivia

Bye - Lilly

Bye Olivia - Gianna

I turn off my phone and throw away the paper bowl and plastic spoon I used. I grab my suitcase and my busy bag and head to the Uber. Our cars were getting delivered to our new house.

The only good thing we get out of this is we are close to the beach but the down side is that it hardly ever gets above 70°F. Some of y'all might think that's warm. And it is. Just that I'm from the south and am used to 100 degree weather with humidity in the summer. So yeah below 70 is chilly for me.

We arrive at the airport and make our way to our gate. Once we get there we take turns using the restroom and buying snacks. I'm not surprised when Reagan buys a big pack of mintos. She lives off those things. I just get some Skittles and a coconut drink

Eventually we board the plane and take off. I put my ear buds in and turned on some music. Sometimes people just need to not be bothered. I ignored everyone on the 30 minute flight to Dallas.

When we got there we had a 5 hour layover. yay. I really don't like flying, but it's better than driving.

I wandered around for 5 hours looking for a good place to eat and eventually settled on Panda Express. After eating I wandered as far as my parents would let me. I really hate standing still.

Finally it was time for our flight. We boarded the plane with no problems and took off. For 4 and half hours I did absolutely nothing but stare out the window. When we finally landed in Seattle we still weren't done we now had to drive 3 and a half hours.

It was now about 4 PM but Seattle is 2 hours behind Arkansas so it just made my day longer. I was ready to crash as soon as I got to wherever our house was when I ran into someone as I was walking out of the airport.

"Watch it!" She exclaimed.

"Sorry." I said softly.

I looked up and saw who I had run into. She had long curly red hair and she was pale. Most red heads are pale but she had paper white skin. The thing that stood out the most were her eyes. They were a deep red and filled with hunger.

I stepped around her and continued but I could feel her eyes burning into my back.

When I finally made it to our Uber I looked back and she was smiling at me.
