An old widow lived alone in her pink house but she called 'her pink palace', rocking back and forth in her rocking. One morning, as she was rocking in her chair, a Cadillac pulled up outside her house. She saw it and started to get frightened as she didn't know who it was.
10 minutes of silence rolled by until knocking was heard on her door, she leapt from her rocking chair and hit the ground with a thud, she lay there as the door burst open and heard a voice call to her.
"Grandma Linda" The voice called to her with an echo with each call. " Grandmaaaaa Linddaaaaa"
Her eyes opened up as she saw a much younger woman standing over her as she picks her up and puts her back in her chair. The widow sits down as an older woman but younger than the widow walks into the house.
"You know her heart can't take much more." The mom told her daughter " go to one of the rooms and start to unpack"
The daughter walked up the spiral staircase climbing higher and higher as the mom tended to her grandmother.
The daughter climbed until she reached a master bedroom with a crib next to the door, the room looked old and crumbling but still stable. She stepped into the room feeling a sense of dread and despair in the room.
As she took steps into the room, a book hit the ground with its contents open in the centre of the floor, the daughter picked it up and closed it as she saw the title " The father's sons"
As she opened its pages she saw what the story had to tell like it was a pop-up book.
