Chapter 3

Some people stop here and I don't know why but if it's not interesting leave a comment on what I should fix and I will do that to make it more interesting.

The group applauded at my singing and I felt my face become red from the embarrassment. "Dawn, please sing another song!" The hobbits exclaimed. I chuckled and shook my head, "Sorry little ones, it's getting late and I am not singing you another song right now." I replied. The hobbits awed and went to sleep. "Dawn, can I use your blanket? I lost mine..." Merry asked nervously, I nodded and gave him my blanket and placed a kiss on his forehead good night. He said his thanks and went to bed. I looked up at the sky looking at the stars.

Someone sat beside me and I looked away from the sky to see who it was. Legolas the blonde tall elf sat next to me. "Where is your blanket?" He asked me, I nodded at Merry. "Merry lost his blanket so I gave him mine so he doesn't freeze to death." I explained. I shivered slightly hoping no one noticed but of course Legolas noticed and grabbed something from his bag. He put a blanket on top of both of us so we would stay warm, I snuggled into the blanket and looked at Legolas, "Thank you..." I said tiredly, he was about to say something when I fell asleep as my head rested on his shoulder.

Legolas put his arm around my shoulder as he blushed. "She is taking a liking to you, Legolas." Gandalf said, Legolas nodded in response. "She doesn't like other elves since her mother was treated poorly and was an outcast but her skills were amazing and it looks like Dawn had gotten them from her." Gandalf explained, "Her skills were impressive when she battled her brother." Aragorn stated.

"Beorn is not actually his younger sister." Gandalf said. The others looked at him with disbelief and shock. "They were actually cousins since the skin changer race was almost wiped out, but they were close and acted like siblings because they took care of each other." Gandalf explained.

In the morning

I woke up shivering. I sighed and went to get more firewood and started to make breakfast for everyone that was still asleep. I grabbed the ingredients to make breakfast. Everyone woke up at the smell of something delicious that was cooking. "Seems like everyone is awake to the breakfast I made." I said, smiling at them. I handed them each a bowl to eat for breakfast, "I made some cooked meat and got some Lembas for anyone that wants to eat." I said to everyone so they could choose what they wanted, but they took both. I picked up something in the air and looked in the sky to see anything, and unfortunately I spotted Crebain from Dunland. I shifted and flew into the sky.

"Dawn! What are you doing?!" Someone yelled at me, "I am going to get rid of the Crebain from Dunland!" I replied and made my way over to them and they came to a stop as I approached. My white scales made the Crebain stop in their path because my scales were too brighttoo bright for them and in quick work I breathed fire on them and they quickly disintegrated into dust. I flew back to the others staring in awe at me as I shifted back. I felt quite dizzy and darkness almost covered my eyes. I think I'm at my limit for shifting now... I thought to myself as I shifted back into my normal form and then collapsed and the last thing I saw and heard was: "Dawn!" Legolas came rushing over to me. I flew back to the others as they looked at me in awe, and as I shifted back to my normal form darkness covered up my vision as I collapsed on the ground. I reached my limit for getting rid of the Crebain and that's okay I save them for now... I thought before I went into unconsciousness. The last thing I saw was Legolas running towards me with concern on his face.

I later woke up by a nice little lake but I knew something was wrong and something was living in that lake ready to get us... I shook my head as I sat up. I felt something heavy on my lap as I looked to see who it was and obviously it was Legolas the handsome elf that keeps popping up in my head. His eyes were closed as he was sleeping peacefully, his breathing was even as he took air in and pushed it out. I felt red creeping up my cheeks, but shook it away. As I tried to put Legolas head down on the ground carefully not trying to wake him up but failed as he opened his eyes and saw me awake. He had a smile on his face when he saw me and hugged me very tightly like I couldn't breathe!

"Okay, you can let go of me Legolas!" I managed to get out, he let go of me and gave me an apologizing look. I chuckled at him as his face turned red, "It's alright Legolas! I needed the hug anyway!" I said, cheerly. Gimli turned to me and said so that everyone could hear him: "Hey, the lassie is awake!" Of course everyone looked at me and I could always feel eyes on me when I'm not looking or looking away from them. Gandalf turned to me and smiled, "Dawn, I need your help with the door." he said, I gladly stood up and walked over to him. I read the door over and over again to understand the riddle.

Speak, friend, and enter. "It's a riddle. If it's not the friend meaning in dwarf language then it has to be in elvish." I said. "Mellon," I said and the door rumbled open as everyone stood up and looked inside the dark room. We stepped inside the dark Moria room as we continued down the hall to see what we will find inside this haunted place.
