Lexi POV:
The shifting gear of my cramped shuttle began to slide clockwise on its own, I noticed the old thing and grumbled shoving it forcibly back into place. of course, I was the person that ended up with the oldest, worst of the Model - X shuttles. don't trust me with a newer model they say, too powerful for a former Regime member. nobody trusts me with any powerful weaponry or secrets, that I can try to understand, but transportation is transportation. these people don't seem to understand how valuable it truly is to have a former regime member on your side. the secrets I could tell are almost unlimited. question on a law? I can tell you why it was made and how deep the law goes, need a full diagram of a base? i can pull up all of the coordinates on TranspoMoniter in the blink of an eye. and i have knowledge of plans. but to these people i must seem useless. to clarify, i was a Space Cadet, or soldier for sector 400765 of Plutario, a Regime station by Pluto of course. i was one of the most trusted people there until i left. i had befriended practically all of the generals and commanders. i even had special permission to go into the top-secret labs where the Arthodine - a tranquilizer that the police and military use - was made. but that isn't me anymore. maybe then i believed in the Regimes crusade for power that they called a "Dream'" but now i know how many people have truly been hurt by these sick people, i now know why people rebel. there's an urge for freedom that eventually pushes people to lead, to fight. the Regime is a sick council of people that abuse their power. they influence people to destroy and destroy, telling them they are working towards a paradise where all can be happy. but i know that once, what the regime wants so badly has been achieved by the brainwashed civilians and soldiers, they'll keep it for themselves and start yet another war in the galaxy. the regime is determined in getting control overall, destroying stations filled with families, innocent people just to make a point. but that's not all they are willing to do. planets have been destroyed. propaganda states that Neptulia was destroyed by natural gas overload, but i know the truth. Neptulia was destroyed because it scared the regime, people had too much confidence, too much power that the regime couldn't control, so they destroyed it. a weapon they have, a failed experiment is to blame. even i didn't have access to knowledge on it but here's what i know, it's dangerous and it needs to be destroyed. that's why the CosmoProtocol was formed, to put an end to the regimes unnecessary power.
i gasped as something started shooting at my Shuttle. i was just too lost in my thoughts to notice the shuttle that had been following me for who knows how long! i grabbed the steering wheel jerking it forwards and rolling myself out of the way of the shots. i coughed as my side jammed into the side of the control panel, i shook my hair out of my face and reached for the control panel my hand slipping off of the gears as i began to float towards the ceiling. they targeted my gravity meter! i clenched my teeth gripping my chair and fighting the force that brought me into the air. i steered out of the way and did a barrel roll to slide past both on the shuttles- wait, wasn't there only one!? another shuttle swooped beneath me and smashed into the side of my shuttle " SHIT!" another began to shoot at me again. i reached for my helmet and put it on to protect myself from the shots, just in case my Sheild broke. i then grabbed the weaponry control lurching forward as the shuttle jammed into me again. i cried out in sheer frustration and panic. only then in the corner of my eye did i notice the crest on all of the shuttles. these were my allies! i hurried myself in typing a series of codes into the computer sending each a message that i was an ally but they continued to attack me i heard a loud shatter as a arrow pierced the back of my shuttle holding me in place. i looked back to see the damage before turning and doing my best to aim the gun at the shuttle in front of me. i got a decent angle and held my breath to focus before pulling the trigger back. three, the shuttle teetered back and forth ruining my focus. i yanked the trigger firing it. nothing came out. " Not working little Lexi? " a shrill laugh came over my comms, Tristine! she was behind this! she was the one that spread the lies that i was still working with the regime! " You!" i snarled into the comm but she didn't hear me, i knew she couldn't, there was too much damage done to my panel. another arrow shoot through the middle of my shuttle slashing my leg and ripping my suit. i screamed in pain and flipped around to clutch my leg. the alarm of the shuttle was now blaring in my ears and my breaths were going shallow, they punctured the shield! i reached for the lever of my helmet to turn on my oxygen. the oxygen panel was pried open and the oxygen was gone! i began to panic choking on my own Crys. clawing at my clothes. i frantically started to search or oxygen everywhere. there was a large boom and i felt flames nick my ear but i continued to scavenge. i spotted a bottle of oxygen and reached for it straining to fight the lack of gravity and suffocating. i never noticed the voices on the intercom stop. my vision was foggy. i felt hand clasp around me pulling me back "no! no!" i screamed my voice scratchy from the lack oxygen. i kicked and clawed. my vision went almost completely dark and i couldn't move anymore. a loud click ran in my ears as i fell into my attacker. before i realized i could breathe again. " Can you hear me?" an echoey male voice "hello?" i opened my eyes and lights danced around me. i breathed heavily savoring the air. "Hello?" my vision cleared and before me i saw a lightshow of destruction and blown-up shuttles. whoever was in them died an unhappy death. i quickly collected me and turned around. looking down at me was a tall man with dark black hair, with streaks of navy blue, dark freckles and green and purple eyes. " Are you alright?" he asked " its a good thing i had weaponry while passing through. whoever targeted you won't be doing it any time soon, or ever again." he chuckled. " Your helmet!' i exclaimed " you're going to suffocate!" i unfastened my helmet ready to give it to him, grateful of his rescue. he held it secure on my head and fastened it back to my suit. " I'm an alien, i can breathe." he said "huh? an alien?" i must have been incohesive from my sudden loss of oxygen. " it's like fresh air" he said taking a gulp of the dark starry sky. " What?" was all i managed before i passed out whacking my head on the overhead compartment.
