"About time you got here! We were just about to leave without you!" Zero complains as I groggily stumble into the lobby of the Hawks Agency headquarters.

Looking around, I see that the rest of the team is huddled near the entrance. It's not too surprising that I was the last one to show up.

I wave off his comment, "just be grateful I showed up at all."

"Emi! You're already in your hero costume, good. I'll brief you as we head over. Let's go, everybody!" Hawks orders.

He runs outside with the others following closely behind. Rolling my eyes, I let out a groan before catching up to the pro.

"So, you know an anonymous civilian tipped us off about the Hassaikai thugs, right?" Hawks asks.

"Yeah. I read your message," I grumble, annoyed that he texted us so late.

"Well, I'm guessing it's a trap. Not many citizens go by the docks since it's known to be a dangerous area, especially at night. And anyone who would be there definitely wouldn't be reporting to a hero agency after seeing something sketchy. That being said, I need you to be on your toes and listen to orders. The last thing we all need is for you to run off and disrupt our team."

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever."

I hear him frustratedly sigh and catch him shooting me a slight glare. Frowning at his expression, he breaks eye contact and flies off into the air.

What a pain...

Hawks POV

As we arrive at the docks, Nightfall and I land on a tall warehouse to get an aerial view of the area. It's about 10:30 pm, so it's pretty dark outside and with so many crates casting shadows on the ground, it's even harder to make anything out. That's where Nightfall comes in.

"See anybody?" I ask, trying to make out any sort of shape within the darkness below us.

"Six... no, seven men are scattered between those crates at the edge of the dock," she points to our left.

Straining my eyes, I  begin to make out a few shadows moving abnormally. The reflected moonlight from the water casts enough light for the men to be visible, but just barely. I turn on my earpiece to inform the team.

"We've spotted the suspects. Angel and Tsukuyomi, follow Nightfall to surround the suspects. Everyone else, we'll meet them head-on. Let me do the talking and don't do anything without my orders," I say.

I quickly land on the ground in front of the rest of my team. Leading the way, we approach the men and I notice that these really are just some low-level thugs from the Hassaikai.

Maybe a concerned citizen sent a real tip after all...

"Nobody move!" I yell, catching the attention of the criminals, "you're all under arrest for being associated with the Shie Hassaikai Yakuza gang!"

A few of the thugs stiffen as they recognize the pro hero standing before them. I catch one of them staring directly at Emi before letting a cocky smirk appear on his face.

"Scatter!" he shouts before a cloud of smoke explodes from the crates to their left.

The criminals start to run into the fog and Emi darts after them before I get the chance to react. Nightfall and Tsukuyomi manage to grab two out of the seven gangsters and pin them to the ground.

"Shit!" I cuss under my breath, "let's go! Don't let a single one of them escape!"

Zero and Pulse sprint into the fog while Angel and I fly above the maze of crates, trying to locate the criminals. It doesn't take me long to realize that this is one of those places where a bird's eye view isn't going to do much. Crates are messily stacked atop one another, many covering small alleyways created by the metal boxes. Some crates are open and connected, creating a tunnel system within the chaotic area.
