HERMIONE POV:
Finally! I was going back to Hogwarts as Head Girl at last! I had always dreamed of becoming Head Girl.

"Hermione, darling are you done packing?" My mom called from downstairs. " Coming mom." I quickly finished packing my stuff and took it down. My dad was waiting in the car. "

Both of you girls hurry otherwise I'll leave you behind and go by myself," He yelled being impatient. I huffed and hurried to put my stuff in the car. We finally got in and my dad started driving our Mercedes.

As soon as we reached the station, I saw Ron, Harry, Ginny, the twins and all the Slytherins. Thats when I noticed that Malfoy was wearing the Head Boy badge. I frowned. Surely Draco Malfoy, son of Lucius Malfoy, couldn't be Head Boy.

"Hey look theres Mione," Harry yelled. That snapped me out of my thoughts. " Hey guys," I said while making my way over to them, smiling widely. Ginny was the first one to notice my Head Girl Badge. "Hermione your head girlll!!"

Ginny squealed while hugging me tightly. "Yup," I said, popping the 'p'.
" Do you have any idea who the Head Boy is?" I asked her. "No, but Malfoy was wearing the badge... If he is then I feel so bad for you," She replied. I sighed and said ," Lets go talk to the boys."

" Hey Mione! You didn't reply to any of the letters I sent. What happened?" Harry asked. " I got grounded so my parents didn't let me even read your letters," I explained to them. " I feel so bad for you, your parents are so strict. They don't even let you have candy!!" Ron said to me.

" I guess thats what happens when you have dentists for parents." I said. " Dentists who get drunk every other day." I mumbled under my breath. "What?" Asked Harry. "Oh nothing."

The trains whistle blew and we scrambled with our trolleys to get on the train. We sat in our regular compartment. After a bit, Luna came in and saying that Professor Dumbledore wants to talk to me.

Must be about head girl duties and stuff like that I thought. Wait, I  remembered while going there,  that Dumbledore never came on the train.

Why was he on the train this time? Must be because he needed to talk to me and the head boy.

I was surprised to see Malfoy in there when I reached, even though I had seen him wearing the badge. "Whats the mudblood doing here?" Malfoy asked Professor Dumbledore.

"She is head girl, just as you are head boy. As both of you'll have got this position, you will have to put your differences aside." He said to both of us

" I will be explaining your duties to you now. You may be wondering why you'll are head boy and girl as you'll are only in the sixth year. Its because no one in the seventh year is fit for this." "Okay," I said.

" At night you have patrols. Any planning that has to be done, it will be assigned to you'll. That means that both of you will have to work together. You only have to be civil with each other when you are planning and doing duties. Outside of that, both of you'll cam go back to hating each other."

" For the purpose of getting to getting to know each other and for convenience for everything, you'll will be sharing a dorm. It has stairs, a kitchen and two bedrooms." " You will be staying in the same train compartment for this journey." Dumbledore exited swiftly after saying this.

We sat in silence, doing our own stuff. Me reading a book, and him reading the Daily Prophet. After what seemed like ages, we finally reached Hogwarts.
I got out of the train and started towards the gates. I looked around to see if I could find my friends, but there was no sight of them.

Knowing Ron, they must have already gone in the castle, waiting for the feast.  I internally rolled my eyes and went inside with everyone else. I looked around at the Gryfinndor table, and sure enough, Ron was sitting there with Harry, waiting for the food.

I made my way over to them and sat next to Harry.

" Hey guys!" I said. " Hey! Did you find out who head boy is?" Harry asked me. "Its Malfoy," I told him. He groaned," I hope he's not going to use the power given to him against the people he doesn't like."

"I don't think he can. Dumbledore wouldn't let him." I said, hopefully. Then Dumbledore walked in and silence fell over.

"Welcome back to another year at Hogwarts everyone!" Dumbledore started his speech with the usual stuff. There were a few more boundaries and we weren't allowed to use magic even at the black lake.

This was because the protection of Hogwarts against muggles was wearing off and it would take some time to redo it.

"It is now time for me to announce our new head girl and boy. It was a fairly easy decision. Your new head girl is Hermione Granger!" Cheers erupted from all the house tables. Excluding the Slytherins , of course. It's not like I expected them to cheer for me.

Dumbledore cleared his throat. "Our new head boy is Draco Malfoy!" Again, cheers were heard, from all the houses, except Gryffindor.

"Now, without further delay, let us enjoy the feast!" As soon as the food appeared, Ron started piling up his plate with almost everything. "Are you really gonna eat all that Ron?" I asked .

"Yea, duh! Why else would I take all this food Mione?" Ron replied, while shovelling food in his mouth.

"Anyways, I'm so happy that your head girl!" Harry interrupted. Ron was about to say something again but I cut him off," If you speak one more time with food in your mouth Ron, I swear to god I'll take five points from Gryffindor." That kept him quiet.

We ate the rest of our food talking about classes, and other random stuff. " Hermione and Draco, please come to my office once you are done eating." Dumbledore announced.

I was surprised as he had already spoken to us in the train. I quickly finished the rest of my food and headed towards his office.

Malfoy was right in front of me. We were met by the gargoyle, and I realised that we needed the password. "Chocolate frogs." Malfoy tried. It didn't move. I groaned and said, " Sugar quills," Still did not move. I heard footsteps behind me.

It was professor Mcgonagall. " I had a feeling that you would be needing help with this," She clarified as to why she was here. " Sherbert Lemon," She told the gargoyle. It started moving. " Thank you," I said to her with a smile. We went inside.
