"Hey watch it, loser!"
I winced and mumbled a quick apology as I continued on towards my locker. I huffed out a sigh of relief when I finally approached its comforting graffiti.
"25..10..15" I mumbled twisting the combination into the pale lock.
I smiled when I heard the soft click of the lock unclasping. I quickly switched my books out and closed it just as my old friend Alice bounded up to me. She leaned against the navy blue locker next to mine and twirled a long stand of pale blonde hair around her coral painted finger.
"Hurry up, violet!" She giggled pushing my shoulder playfully.
"Alright, alright. Just hold up."
I finished up and turned to look at her, the complete opposite of me. She had long tan legs, pale blonde hair, and glimmering hazel eyes. Her laugh, however, was horrid. It sounded more along the lines of a dying cat. I , on the contrary, had long curly ash brown hair that frizzed constantly. My legs were short and so pale that a vampire would be jealous. My eyes were mostly grey, but at times turned a light violet.
"Hello? Earth to violet?" She smiled snapping her long perfect fingers at me.
I shook my head in surprise and blushed profusely at her comment on my day dream. I laughed and shoved myself up from the lockers, beginning our long journey to the English hall. The entire time she kept up a long gossip chatter, which I ignored responding with occasional nod and gasp. Usually during these times I would let my mind day dream miles away from the harsh reality and to a place where there might have been others behind me. But unfortunately, all dreams come to an end and reality comes back with a surprising force.
I let out a loud alarmed squeak as I was shoved roughly from behind by some jerks who thought It'd be funny. I clasped my eyes closed as I threw my arms out a little too late to catch my fall. I winced the hard cement, but was instead greeted by strong arms that quickly wrapped around my waist. I gasped and looked up through my curls at a handsome boy with ruffled blonde hair. He smiled warmly as he set me back on my feet his ocean blue eyes looking me over. I blushed under his gaze and hid behind my curtain of curls, my sanctuary.
"T-thanks for you know...catching me" I stuttered my face growing redder by the moment.
He laughed easily and put a hand on my shoulder sending shivers down my spine.
"No problem, V" he smiled waking away. I squeaked loudly running into my classroom and taking my seat in the back. I ran my fingers nervously through my wild mane freaking out. How does he know my name? He acted like he knew me but-but I've never seen him before in my life! What if he's a stalker?! No-No cute boys don't get interested in me.
"Class, if I may have your attention. We have a new student joining is on this fine day."
I looked up briefly from my day dream, not caring. That is until my eyes fell upon him once more. His blonde ruffled hair, tanned skin, and crystal eyes were too much for today. I quickly tore my gaze from him and began to sketch on the assignment that we were given.
Please don't sit by me, please don't sit by me... I prayed in my head. Unfourtantly, he sat in the chair next to mine and smiled at me.
Damnit...
