*The king's men return an hour later*

"He speaks of the truth, my king. We did our investigation and he is telling the truth.", says one of the men.

"I see. Remind me of your name again, Death Knight.", says the king.

"My name is Cody Ydoc Ivan N'lso.", says Cody.

"Cody. You will be paid handsomely for your honor and help towards my kingdom. What do you desire, my friend?", asks the king.

"I truly don't desire anything. I just wish to protect the innocent. But I will take knowledge, weapons, coins, or whatever you can spare. I'll even take a spot in one of any open beds whenever I pass by the city and I need a place to stay. I don't honestly need anything but give me whatever.", says Cody.

"You truly are a good man. You don't desire women, riches, glory, or any of that more than helping others. Whoever raised you did it right. Give this man 28,500 coins, our best spellbook, some food and water, Captain Jacob.", says the king.

"You don't need to do that.", says Cody.

"I insist and so does my darling here.", says the king.

The queen nods in agreement.

"You need new armor? I see you only wear a cold-weather fur jacket.", says the king.

"I don't need new armor. I gave my armor up since my king betrayed me and my brothers and sisters.", says Cody.

"Which king was that?", asks the queen.

"You know that city on the cliff north of here?", the king says to the queen.

"Oh yeah. The place that the earthquake came from?", asks the queen.

"Yes. That's the kingdom. That's where all Death Knights are from. Jackson City I think the kingdom is called. Right, Cody?", asks the king.

"Jackson City. That's correct. It was my home and now the king will die for his betrayal against me and my brothers and sisters. He betrayed for Greed. I don't ask you to help me. I got everything handled, I just wish you a heads up: Do not trust him, he will betray you too.", says Cody.

"I see. We need someone of your talents, would you care to serve my kingdom?", asks the king.

"I do not wish to serve a kingdom currently. But I got a book here on how to make more Death Knights. It involves years of training and a ton of magic.", says Cody as he digs a book out of his magical satchel and hands it to the king.

"I....thank you. I will see that it will be used for good. I know how powerful your kind is, I don't wish to make an enemy of you. I heard your kind can kill entire kingdoms in a day and can kill a hundred soldiers in direct hand-to-hand combat.", says the king.

"That'd be wise and yes my kind is indeed that powerful.", says Cody.

The Captain returns and hands Cody his rewards.

"Thank you, Captain Jacob.", says Cody.

"You're welcome, Death Knight.", says Captain Jacob.

"Alright. Do I have permission to leave?", asks Cody.

"You may leave whenever you want but may I offer you a job here as a guard?", asks the king.

"I may take you up on that offer once my plan of revenge is done. The betraying king won't see the end of this year. After that, I will join your kingdom as whatever you see fit.", Says Cody.

"I see. You may leave now.", says the king

Cody nods and leaves.

A few days later, Cody is traveling through the ruins of an ancient city that was destroyed by war against monsters. Cody sees a giant running up to him, Cody raises his crossbow and lands a shot right between its eyes. It drops dead. Suddenly Cody was surrounded by an army of monsters. Cody quickly guessed that he was surrounded by a little over 80 different varieties of monsters.
