Milo x Jayden

 "So? Any input? A name maybe?" Jayden asked both amused and impatient. "M-milo." I mumbled, hoping he wouldn't hear. Sadly he heard me loud (pun intended) and clear due to the closeness of his face. "Milo, I like that." he said as he smirked at the way he had said my name. A shiver ran down my back, it could have been fear, or temperature, or I could've been his smirk, possibly even the way he said my name. I just stared at him with my slightly less fear filled eyes, not knowing how to fill the silence without talking.

I may have already handed over my name but that did not mean I wanted to converse with the gia- err huma- err Jayden.

Suddenly the silence was broken though not by a voice but a loud blaring alarm that scared the life out of me, causing me to attempt to curl up though i had limited space in his gentle fist to do so. I yelped in fear and covered my ears/head due to the sound and my fear. I flinched at the feeling of a giant finger slowly petting the top on my head, causing my hair to be all frizzy.

I heard what sounded like kind words and shushes coming from Jayden though I was not sure of what he was saying because I had my ears covered and that noise. Once he had stopped petting me and I was sure that the noise had fully stopped, I lifted my head and looked around at my surroundings. I heard a few curses coming from the second human, Noah I think his name was, and looked his way. I watched as he put April down onto the dresser and grabbed some clothes, I was quite confused. "Hey, can you watch the two trouble makers while I'm at school?

If mom found out I was late or missed school then she would freak!" he pleaded with Jayden, what are we? Children who need a babysitter? I thought to myself, infuriated at the thought of being stuck with this human all day. I heard protests similar to my thoughts coming from an angry april. I still didn't get it, how can she talk so freely to humans? How does she know that they aren't going to snap suddenly and break her trust? Sadly I heard the answer I was dreading coming from the owner of the hand I was currently trapped in.

"Sure, I wanna know more about this cutie. And I think I can handle both." he said with seemingly over done pride. Though I did shiver a bit at his remark about learning more about me. I didn't like the sound of that. Just as Jayden finished his sentence the other ran, with the clothes in hand, into what I assumed was the bathroom yelling "thank you!"

He soon emerged from the bathroom door all ready to leave. He walked over to April and said goodbye, though it was clear she was still pissed at him for a multitude of things. After the quick goodbye he swept her up in his cup-shaped hand, earning a fearful yelp in return.

Noah walked towards me and Jayden (whom I was still too scared to look at in fear of what I would see.) and instructed Jayden to hold out his hand in order to keep better track of April, by holding her. After that Noah rushed down the stairs, muttering swears all the way to the first floor. After that it was just me, april, and Jayden. "Jayden!" April yelled angrily, "put me and Milo down!" when she said that i wanted to yell "leave me out of it!" out of fear, however i decided against it as i wasn't sure what was scarier, a human, or aprils anger. I decided it would be best to face Jayden so I could at least get a jist of his emotions.

I looked back to face Jayden once again, luckily he wasn't looking at me, but april. April was sitting in his palm as I was still stuck in his loose fist - probably because he assumed I would take any chance to escape, even if it meant jumping from his hand to the floor. He was correct.- i looked at april hoping she would do something, as she seemed to have a way of getting the brothers to do what she wanted.

Sadly April was looking at Jayden so my state didn't get her attention. It was almost like they were having the world's most intense staring contest as neither of them blinked or spoke. I decided to make a risky move to get their attention. I waved my arms around in hope of April noticing from her peripheral vision. I began to regret my decision as they both turned their heads at my movement, causing a startled yelp to escape my lips before I could stop it. Jayden begane to move me closer to his face, probably to hear what I had needed to say, when he looked between me and april. It took him a sec to..load? And suddenly he had a look that said "oooh," "sorry, didn't realize you were in a- err my fist." he said as he rubbed the back of his neck in awkward-ness.

"Heh, promise u wont jump?" he asked in a joking tone, though I knew he needed a yes before he would open his fist. I slowly nodded, looking down in embarrassment. "Mmk." he said with an amused/suspicious tone. He slowly set me on his palm with april, whom i quickly hid behind to get out of the piercing eyes of Jayden. I heard a bemused chuckle come from the human before he began to speak, "I'm going to stand up, just a warning you might want to sit. Gravity and stuff." he chuckled at himself as he waited for me and April to slowly sit on his palm before he stood to his immense height from his previous position of cross legged on the floor of his younger brother's room.

As he began to walk out from his brother's room and to a new destination, April turned to me, "he didn't hurt you right? You're not bruised?broken?-" "i-im fine, just shock but no physical pain." I cut her off before she could carry out her full rant about my safety, though it made me happy to know that she was worried for me. "And you!" she yelled, turning to Jayden, sufficiently getting his attention. Causing him to come to a stop from his walk. "Why can't we walk on our own? We would even walk in front of you to make sure we don't run!" she offered, i knew it was useless though i was intrigued to hear the humans reply.

a/n: I just wanted to say that I know this is a rather short scene, but I feel horrible for not posting in such a long time. I feel like a bit of interaction between Milo and Jayden was needed. ngl I've already decided they need to be the fluffiest pair. I hope y'all are satisfied with this chapter <3 comment any suggestions u want to see in the story or any corrections you feel I should make! <33
