Reputation on the brinks

The math club session went even worse than the music one. This Jungwon guy made sure to sit right next to me, so close I could hear his breath, and didn't even try to hide his stare.

I went home fuming, the vision of him humiliating me in front of the whole orchestra replaying in my head over and over again.

The next morning, I had thankfully calmed down, and came to school in good spirit. Having almost forgotten about the impudent freshman.

But as I walked closer to the uni I got more and more stares. I put it on account of my imagination, until Sooha jumped me, shouting,

"Engene! You were in love with Jeon Jungkook?!"

I felt my blood leave my veins.

"Wh~at?"

Sounds got out of my mouth completely deformed.

"You told me you thought he was cute once, but to think you actually cried for him at his farewell party!"

"Sooha! Stop! Where did you hear this?"

"What do you mean? Everyone heard about this. Some girl from your music club told a friend of my friend."

My head is turning and my hands is trembling. The reputation I worked so hard to build, about to be crushed by this image of a pitiful desperate fan girl!

And Colin!

"Sooha! Did Colin hear about this!?"

"Oh, I don't know. But don't worry, it's cute. I'm sure he won't mind. Every girl on campus has had a crush on Jungkook anyway."

I appreciate my friend's laid-back attitude, but to hear that your girlfriend cried over another man when you were already together is not a pleasing situation if you ask me.

I'd be lucky if Colin takes it even a quarter as lightly as Sooha.

On our way to the classroom, I get more stares, accompanied by some courageous cats, trying to get a revelation out of me. As an answer, I give them sighs, and it works well enough for me to reach my seat without betraying myself.
