3rd POV:

It is a beautiful afternoon in Paris. Task 141 was preparing for the warehouse search. They plan to take action in the evening. Price paced into the front of the crew as he spoke.

“Remember, Laswell’s crew will also be there at the casino. They’ll have a green patch on their armband just like you guys so you’ll recognize them. Try not to kill each other and let’s receive the scientist safely.”

The boys nodded and entered into their vehicles. Price and Gaz were in the first car, Konig and Horangi in the second and Ghost and Soap were in the last. As they drove into the city, Konig was feeling anxious, not because of the mission but because of what he and Horangi discussed last night while drunk.

Should he have kept his mouth shut? He knew drinking on duty was a bad idea. Damn it, why did he have to ask that stupid question?

All those thoughts popped in his head. After internally panicking, Konig finally kept his cool and turned to his Friend driving the car.

“Hey, Horangi.”

“Can’t hear you, I'm driving right now.” The giant Austrian rolled his eyes and sighed.

“Did I…say something out of the ordinary last night?” he hesitantly asked the Korean.

“Konig, I barely remember how I woke up in the bathtub this morning. You’re gonna have to be more specific than that.”

A light bulb appeared on the Austrian’s head, Horangi doesn’t remember anything from last night. He did drink more wine than his 6 '10 companion and short people do get more drunk than tall people. This means Konig was home free from embarrassment. He mentally thanked heaven that the hangover erased Horangi’s memories.

“Uh actually nevermind, I don’t think I remembered either…” Horangi suspiciously glanced at his friend before paying attention to the road.

Konig was relieved that he didn’t have to make excuses for himself. He didn’t want to be put in the spotlight for something he was embarrassed about. The memories of his talk with Horangi last night were still fresh in his mind.

“How do you know when you’re falling for someone?”

“Woah, Where did that question come from?”  Horangi asked.

“Well…we’re in Paris and love fever is all around.”

“Konig, I've seen you two helicopters into each other and you’re afraid of a little love?”

“It’s…complicated.”

“Look, I didn’t even realize I was in love with my wife until I saw her get severely hurt during a war. I was constantly with her in the hospital, even when visiting hours were over. I'm not a religious person but I remember praying for her to survive. Love is a very complicated process, you will know it happens when it happens.”

Konig took note of what his friend said, but he wasn’t confident about his feelings. He looked outside the window to see a happy couple on the sidewalk, strolling their baby.

Does he plan on ever settling down with a family to come home too? Most importantly, who will be his soulmate if that ever happens? *sigh* There’s no time to focus on that, they were here for one purpose,  to find the scientist.

Y/n POV:

“Remember, I want this to be a smooth operation, guys. Please don't do anything reckless, be mindful of civilians” Laswell emphasized the word as she looked in my direction to which I rolled my eyes.
