"K-pop boy group SEVENTEEN members hinting they're not continuing as a group anymore."
Mingyu rolled his eyes while letting go of his phone causing it to bounce a few times on the sofa.
"What a bullsh*t.. do people really don't have anything to do these days so they're meddling with our actions? Our group bond is stronger than a family, of course we are going to re-sign the contract!" he ranted to his housemate Wonwoo. The latter just smiled while reading the book on his hand.
"I mean look at us now, we can already afford to buy our own houses but we are still living together, because it's our choice. I bet Seungcheol hyung will be pissed if he reads that sh*t." he continued to rant.
"Speaking about the contract did you get the message from our manager about the meeting later?" after hearing Wonwoo's question Mingyu tilted his head and turned to Wonwoo.
"You got one??" he asked Wonwoo in which Wonwoo nodded. He went back to the sofa and grabbed his phone there he confirmed that he also received one.
On the meeting room gathered the thirteen members, three managers, and the company management. The group members are being careful with every words they say.
"Isn't this a great time for us to explore our own style?" Minghao nervously asks, knowing he's opening the most sensitive topic.
"That's true.. I mean since we have thirteen members. I really think there's more than one member who wants to try their own style." Soonyoung agreed.
"So hyung— you want to go solo?" Chan initiated, and made the whole room quiet..
"N-no no... that's not what I meant. I mean we'll always be SEVENTEEN-" Soonyoung was cut off when Mingyu spoke
"So what do you mean?" with an irritated voice of Mingyu, the heavy atmosphere was mixed with a heated one.
"Mingyu, let hyung finish first." Minghao stated that made Mingyu more pissed.
"How about you say it since you're the great guy who opened this topic! Do you guys want to go solo?!??" Mingyu raised his voice.
"Mingyu, let's calm things down first please." Woozi tried to keep Mingyu down on his seat.
Others don't want to try and dare to say a word knowing how heated the atmosphere have gone. They understand him—as everyone knows that each and one of them promised to continue together to the very last—yet here they are feeling a hint of contrast between one another. The room's silence is deafening unto each one of them, until someone decided to break it.
"I don't want to continue anymore... I want to quit as an idol." everyone—except Mingyu—turned their heads to the leader of the group, Seungcheol.
"I'm tired of this life, Mingyu-ah... I'm sorry." without a word Mingyu exited the room, not paying any mind to whoever called for his name. He hopped on his car and drove away wherever his unattended mind brought him.
After miles of driving, Mingyu found himself at an abandoned building. There he found some graffiti and messages on the building's walls–floor, all fading because of the
time passing by. With a bag of drinking alcohol on his left hand and an opened alcohol bottle on his right hand. Mingyu walks around the building —reading each word painted— with bitterness and pain in his eyes."SEVENTEEN LET'S MAKE IT BIG!"
"Future of Kpop 세븐틴!!'
"Say the name!"
"S.E.V.E.N.T.E.E.N!!!"
Mingyu gripped the bottle on his hand harder. Anger filling up his emotions —he threw the glass bottle on the wall— causing it to break into pieces.
"Lies.. lies... LIESSS!!! ALL F*CKING LIES!" the pain on his voice can be heard echoing to the abandoned building, if one can hear.
He shouted as if the tears that is falling from his eyes can be drained faster with his voice. He fell on his knees and did not even bother standing. The bruises he's now taking is nothing to be compared on his now shattered heart –scattered everywhere— he don't know where to start picking it up.
"They left me no choice then..." is the only thing he whispered before falling completely onto the ground.
