***This story is set in a time where Danielle & Stefania are in college together***

Once the home football game ended, Danielle and Stefania left the stadium with wide smiles on their faces. After a very close game, their team had just won against a huge rival team. Danielle headed back to her apartment with her two roommates, Barrett and Jaina, as well as her almost girlfriend, Stefania.

"This win means we can get drunk now, right?" Barrett exclaimed loudly as the group walked together.

"You've literally been drunk since 3," Jaina said as she looked down at her watch and laughed. "And now it's 9."

Stefania laughed as she grabbed Danielle's arm and held the blonde's hand. They both walked closely together to try and warm each other up since the October air had a chill to it. About 10 minutes later, they arrived at Danielle's apartment and began pulling out some snacks and migrated to the living room.

"Are you guys gonna have sex tonight?" Barrett said while putting a mouthful of chips in her mouth.

Danielle's face turned beet red as she looked at Stefania, who began to laugh.

"Tell me you did not just say that out loud," Danielle said with wide eyes and a furrowed brow.

"What?!" Barrett exclaimed while laughing. "My room is right next to yours, and I need to know if I should put in earplugs... Last time I checked, you said Stefania was mind blowing in bed."

"Did she really?" Stefania said with an eager expression. "I want to hear more of this!"

"Oh my God, Barrett... You need water," Danielle laughed as she stood up and reached for Stefania's hand. "Stefania, let's go on the balcony."

"You two have fun," Jaina said as she waved to them.

Danielle closed the sliding door behind her and took a seat next to the brunette. "Sorry about that... You know how Barrett can be when she's drunk."

"That's okay..." Stefania said with a shy smile. "I think it's funny."

"But... I don't apologize for saying you are mind blowing in bed," the blonde said with a smirk and began to laugh.

"I'm so glad you think so."

Danielle went silent for a moment as an idea came to her head, and she knew it was the perfect moment for her to ask Stefania to be her girlfriend.

"Stefania, let's go up to the pool."

"What?" Stefania said with a confused look on her face. "Danielle... It's so late and cold."

"Come on, trust me."

They both headed inside and grabbed a few blankets to take with them. Then Danielle and Stefania walked up to the rooftop pool in the apartment building, and found a double chaise lounge chair that they both could fit on.

"I want to look at the stars with you," Danielle said, motioning Stefania to lay down on the chair.

Stefania smiled shyly and laid down on the chair, then Danielle snuggled up next to her and put the blanket over them. They laid there and pointed out different stars, and just enjoyed the company of one another.

"That looks like the Big Dipper," the blonde said while pointing to a certain set of stars.

"The what?" Stefania said as she looked at Danielle with a concerned face.

"You know, like the little dipper and big dipper?" Danielle replied as she pointed at the sky. "See, look at these stars. It's like a small ladle."

"Oh.. Wait, I see it!" Stefania said with a vibrant smile and excited tone.

They laughed together and continued looking at the sky. It was so peaceful with nobody else at the pool. Danielle looked over at Stefania and just stared at how beautiful she was.

"Danielle," Stefania said quietly as she smiled and gave Danielle the side eye.

"Yes?" The blonde replied, while keeping her eyes on the brunette.

"Stop staring at me," The brunette said as she laughed.

"I can't help it," Danielle said as she continued to stare. The blonde paused for a minute before saying what she was wanting to say for a while. "Will you be my girlfriend?"

Stefania turned her head to look at Danielle as a smile grew on her face. "Danielle... I've been waiting for you to ask me that."

"So, is that a yes?"

"Of course it is," Stefania replied as she gently caressed Danielle's cheek.

Unable to contain their overflowing emotions, Danielle leaned in, closing the space between them, and captured Stefania's lips with her own. Their kiss was filled with a deep and passionate connection, a confirmation of their love that needed no words. It was a kiss filled with all the unspoken words and dreams that had bound them together since the day they met.

When they finally broke the kiss, their foreheads rested against each other, their eyes locked in a gaze filled with love. In that moment, all felt right in the world. The stars above them seemed to shine even brighter. Their hearts were now intertwined as they lay there, under the starry sky, wrapped up in each other's arms.

"Wait hold on," Danielle said as she pulled away from Stefania. "Let me grab my phone really quick."

"Come back, bambina," Stefania moaned. "What do you need your phone for?"

"Texting Barrett really quick," Danielle said with a smile. "I'm telling her she should definitely put in earplugs tonight."

......

Danielle sat at the kitchen island, her eyes filled with adoration as she watched Stefania flip a slice of french toast on the stove. The morning sun filtered through the blinds from the living room, which created a warm glow in the kitchen.

"Danielle, I can feel you staring... Again," Stefania teased, catching Danielle's gaze as she placed a piece of french toast on the plate. "Is this what it's going to be like to date you?"

Danielle blushed as a grin quickly appeared on her face. "Sorry, I can't help myself. Can you really blame me?"

Stefania laughed and leaned in for a quick kiss. "Breakfast for my bambina."

Just as the brunette sat down next to Danielle, Barrett emerged from her room with a grin on her face. "Well, well, well, what do we have here? Is Stefania working her cooking magic again?"

"Good morning, Barrett!" Danielle said with a wide smile.

"Morning, lovebirds," Barrett teased. "I hope you two had a good night. I certainly heard enough to give it a solid 5 out of 5 on Yelp."

Danielle playfully threw her balled up napkin at Barrett. "Oh hush! I can't help that the walls are thin around here."

Barrett continued to laugh as she joked with her friend. "Hey, I'm not complaining. Just making sure you both got your cardio in."

Stefania sat with her head down as she ate her french toast, continuing to laugh at Barrett. She quietly whispered to Danielle, "bambina, were we that loud?"

"Oh no, most of it was Danielle. Clearly, you're doing something right Stefania!"

"Barrett! Oh my goodness..." Danielle said as she blushed and laughed. "BUT... Speaking of lovebirds... Stefania and I are officially dating now."

Barrett's eye's widened in surprise as a smile grew on her face. "No way! When did this happen?"

"Last night," Danielle grinned, exchanging a look with Stefania. "I finally asked her to be my girlfriend."

Barrett's face lit up with pure happiness. "Well, it's about time! Congratulations you two... I guess that means I might need to invest in some better ear plugs."
