We were two ships, sailing side by side
But our journey, we never quite aligned
We tried to navigate, the storms and tides
But in the end, our love just couldn't abide
We were like fire and ice, a contradiction
Our love was a puzzle, an unresolved fiction
We wanted different things, we walked different roads
Our love story, forever told in codes
We were two stars, that shone too bright
But in the vastness of the night
We couldn't find our way to the same sky
And our love, was doomed to die
We were two hearts, that beat as one
But our love, it was not meant to be done
We gave it our all, we fought the fight
But in the end, it was not enough to unite
So we'll let go, of what could have been
And move on, from this love that's been
For though it hurts, to say goodbye
We'll find new love, under the sky
