Instead of following Jess's car Eddie stopped his car in front of the tunnel that separated the real world and Toontown.
He and Hedy got out of the car and stood the tunnel down , Eddie hadn't been in Toontown since the fateful day that Teddy had died .
While Hedy hadn't been in Toontown since she was a little girl when she and her dad visited her mom and her extended family every week for Sunday dinners at her grandparents house,she missed those days.
Her Grandmother Bertha Boop would fuss over her and fed her until she felt like she was going to pop , she'd listen to her Grandfather Benny Boop tell stories about the old country , her Great Grampy would show her his latest invention , and she'd play with her cousins.
Hedy snapped out of her trip down memory lane when she heard the sound of a glass bottle being shot by a gun but, it wasn't an ordinary gun that her Uncle used to shatter the empty bottle of whisky but, it was the Toon gun that Yosemite Sam gave him as a thank you gift after a case.
"Are you ready Hedy" Eddie asked in a serious tone as he got into the car
"you know it Uncle Eddie" Hedy said as she got into the car as well
Eddie put the car in drive and headed straight for the tunnel as the reached the end the curtains opened and both of them squinted from daylight of Toontown that contrasted the darkness of the real world.
"Smile, Darn ya smile You know that your world is a great world after all Smile, Darn ya smile And right away Watch Lady Luck pay you a call Things are never black As they are painted Time for you and joy To get antiquated Make life worthwhile So, Smile, darn you smile!' All the toons sang as they were going about their day.
Then three blue bird flew close to Hedy and Eddie
"Hi Eddie Hi Hedy , Bye Eddie Bye Hedy "
then one of the birds flew really close to Hedy and Eddie which distracted Eddie.
Hi Eddie Hi Hedy , Bye Eddie Bye Hedy
The car then crashed into Jess's car, while main street of Toontown was pure chaos which was normal for Toontown.
"This place hasn't changed much" Hedy noted while she looked around as Eddie looked inside of Jess's car .
Which was empty, he then hit his head which made a toon bird hatch from an a egg and fly around Eddie's head.
"Get out of here" Eddie said as he swatted the bird away from him which made Hedy gave him a look in response.
When he saw the sour look on Hedy's face Eddie looked remorseful.
"Sorry Hedy" Eddie said in a sheepish tone.
"It's okay uncle Eddie , let's go find Casanova" Hedy said as she started to walk towards the apartment building that Jess, Roger , and Jessica lived .
