+1 ALLY:   KEIKO KITAGAWA as Miyo Arima

-------------------------------------------------------------

Miyo stood on her legs again, not realizing how tight her grip on Karai's hand was. The black-haired woman was still eyeing the backs of the men who had taken advantage of the fact that she wasn't watching her back. Time was pressuring them as well. They had completely forgotten about this game being timed as well and now they had eight minutes to think of a way to outsmart their opponents and win. "So, you're still up for the thing we were talking about earlier?" Miyo asked, hoping the other woman would say yes. "I mean, do we have have a better option?"

Karai nodded. "We should do that." She wrapped her arm around Miyo's shoulders and Miyo mirrored her actions. The two were on the move again, walking as fast as they possibly could. They were careful to not make too much noise so the men wouldn't find it suspicious. A few splatters of blood from Karai's hand marked their path as they crossed the finish line for the 5th time but none of the two women paid attention to it. Miyo anxiously glanced at her phone. Four minutes left. How are they supposed to make them fight in such a short time, especially when they'll know it's a trick. Nobody is that stupid. "Let's take a small break." Karai eyed her with a small smile that didn't reach her eyes. Miyo's heart skipped a beat. Was she giving up even after agreeing with her? She opened her mouth to speak but something in Karai's expression silenced her.

That's when it hit her- she did have a plan after all. She just switched it for another one. "Yeah, sure." The two stopped walking and took a few deep breaths. "Three minutes." Karai whispered, her eyes glued to the screen of her phone. "We have two minutes to catch up with them, then leave the rest to me." Miyo nodded but something about the serious look on Karai's face made her feel strange. "Then let's go, no?" The raven-haired woman fixed her posture and the two were soon moving again.

Karai kept on whispering instructions to Miyo and so the two were greatly synchronized. They were soon able to catch up with the two men who seemingly weren't doing that well. "Aren't we lucky?" Miyo whispered and her companion hummed in response. "Seems like we don't even have to try to make them lose to us. The businessman's voice was loud enough for the girls to hear him. "If you'd rely on me more, we'd be doing way better!" He was clearly panicking. Miyo understood his worry. Time was merciless. It didn't just stop when someone needed it. Yet what confused the brunette even more was the emotionless expression on the face of her companion. How could she be so calm?

"Well, we are winning thanks to my strategy, no? Try to be a bit more grateful, old man." Karai suddenly nudged Miyo. "What is it?" She asked. "I think I found their weakness." The girls sped up a bit and Karai took out her lipstick and threw it to gain attention of the men. It hit the businessman. He nervously looked behind him, his eyes widening in surprise. How were they able to recover so fast? "How pitiful." The woman spoke. She didn't shout, they were close enough to hear her. "You have to rely on a man far younger than yourself in order to win such a simple game as this one?" She laughed. "And here they said that old men were clever." Miyo's eyes widened. Karai was totally treating the man the same way as his own teammate.
