A Birthday Surprise for Marie

Special Day!

One Morning, Marie woke up and stretched and yawned. She got out of bed and looked at her calendar. Today was her birthday!!

"Yay!! It's my birthday today!!" Marie cheered.

Marie got her phone and called the rest of the quad!

"Hey guys! Guess what day it is!" Marie said.

"Um. Friday?" Bridget asked.

"Well yes. But What else?" Marie Asked.

"Umm. Well, I have to go with my mom to the market." Said Julia.

"Yeah. That's nice Julia. But what important day is it today?" Marie said.

"Ohh Ohhh! Is it Christmas?!" Asked Jessie.

"Jessie. Christmas is already over" Marie sighed.

"Oh yeah."

"Sorry Marie, I got to go." Said Bridget and hangs up.

"Me too." Said Julia.

"Me three" said Jessie.

And they all hung up.

"Did they forget my birthday?" Marie thought to herself. "No. Maybe they are just busy today. Maybe dad still remembers."

Marie went downstairs. Her father was cooking some breakfast. It was Marie's favorite! Waffles, sausage, eggs and hash browns.

"Good morning kiddo" Said Marie's Father.

"Good morning Dad!" Marie exclaimed. "You made my favorite today! Thank you!"

"Made all this for you birthday girl." Marie's father said.

"At least you remember!" Marie said.

"Not like my own friends" she muttered.

Marie wondered again if her friends really have forgotten her birthday. But she tried not to think much of it and ate her birthday breakfast.

After Marie was done, she washed her plate and put it on the rack.

"Thank you so much Dad!" Marie said to her father.

"No problem angel!" Marie's father smiled.

Then Marie went off to find her friends.
