Enid liked the Addams. Truly, she did. They felt like an extension of Wednesday to her. She'd found herself envying their relationship whenever she was forced to interact with her own uncaring mother. But it was okay, she liked Wednesday, she liked her family. And none of them had said they hated Enid so, it was a win-win in her book.

What she didn't like, however, was being in a room where everyone knew something except for her. Which was happening at the moment. She could see it in their stances, their conspiring glances. The Addams knew something, and she had no idea what it could be.

She sighed; it was none of her business anyway. Wednesday had just said she had to speak to her mother alone. Might as well make a run for it. She could come up with some excuse, say she was going to check up on Yoko and leave them alone.

"Enid." Wednesday said.

Enid wondered if she had to worry about her roomie reading her thoughts. She turned towards her, but Wednesday wasn't looking at her.

"Grandmama is skillful at banishing stains. I'm sure she could help salvage your precious clothes"

Enid followed Wednesday's eyes, sure enough she'd been looking at the old woman from before.

"Oh- I mean, I wouldn't want to be a bother-" Enid started, apologies and excuses piling up in her throat.

"Nonsense" Grandmama said, a manic smile adorning her face. "Although, I don't know why you want the blood gone, it looks better like these. I think."

She slowly made her way towards Enid, who was now standing up in the middle of the room. Enid felt she was being examined. In which way, and for what purpose, both things escaped her reasoning.

She laughed, nervously.

"Please?" Enid said, in a quiet voice, "Nice to meet you, by the way. I'm Enid"

The werewolf made no move to approach the old lady who was invading her personal space now. She'd learned her lesson with Wednesday, no hugging.

Grandmama locked at her, sniffed her out. Enid sniffed back on instinct, she smelled a mixture of herbs, spices and dust. And cemetery grounds, like Wednesday.

"Yes" Grandmama said, patting Enid's uninjured cheek, "very nice, indeed."

She left Enid alone, which gave the werewolf a moment to breathe again.

The older Addams collected Enid's bloody coat from the floor.

"Wednesday?" Grandmama spoke without turning around.

"My clothes are fine as they are." Wednesday stated.

"Good, good. I'll be back soon" And after one last look at Enid, Grandmama was gone.

"You can wear that at your graduation" Pugsley suggested.

"We can re stain them beforehand, make the blood look fresh again" Gomez added enthusiastically.

"I'll think about it" Wednesday said. She took a step towards Enid, softening her tone, "I must speak to my mother at once. It's a family matter." She said this as if she were apologizing to Enid for leaving her side, "I'm sure my family can keep you entertained, if you wish"

Enid looked at Wednesday, the closeness still strange to her, making her feel a shiver down her spine. She glanced at were Gomez and Pugsley were standing, smiling at her warmly.

"I mean, sure" why not? "I haven't really met them well"

Enid had no idea what she could do with Wednesday's dad, her brother looked more approachable, but she wasn't sure if they'd have anything in common. Much less something to talk about. She didn't peg them as K-pop fans either.
