Chapter six

Avery's P.O.V

„I will not fucking calm down! You're a little slut fucking that guy didn't you?" He yells.

„I didn't fuck him!" I lie.

„Oh yeah so what'd you do then?" He screams even louder.

I hear a car door slam shut and I turn to see Luke coming over.

„stop yelling at her! That's not the way to treat her" he says.

„Oh so your fuck buddy is gonna take your side? I see how it is." Jake screams taking a step closer to me and Luke.

„hey hey hey so first I'm not her fuck buddy! Second you're not gonna touch her!" Luke yells stepping in front of me.

„she's my girlfriend I can do whatever the fuck I want with her and some random guy like you won't stop me!" Jake yells punching Luke in the face.

„JAKE STOP!!" I yell going between them.

„Oh so you are taking his side now?" Jake said.

„You just punched him in the face!" I scream as I turn around to face Luke who was holding his bloody lip.

„Are you alright?" I ask as I take his hand away to look at his lip.

„I'm fine Avery. Just lets get away from him until he's calmed down" he says and takes my hand.

„Avery! Don't you fucking dare go with him! I swear if you do" he spits through gritted teeth.

„Avery come on let's go!" Luke starts to walk towards the car.

„AVERY!" Jake shouts and I turn to face him.

I know that kind of expression. It's his "don't do it or you'll be dead tomorrow face".

„I'm sorry Luke. I'll call you" I sigh as I let go of his hand and walk towards Jake who's smirking in success.

„Avery are serious?" Luke asks.

„Yeah I'll call you later, promise" I smile signalling for him to leave.

„Whatever" he sighs and gets in the car and drives off.

Luke's P.O.V

I get in the car and watch Jake yell at Avery some more. I don't get why she lets him treat her like this. It doesn't make any sense. The Avery I met was a strong independent one. She doesn't need him or anyone. She can do life on her own.

I'm caught between getting out of the car and help Avery or just drive off. I decide to just leave.

I met her yesterday and we fucked. That's it. Nothing more. Nothing less. She has a boyfriend and i can't fall in love with her. I can't.
She's just another girl. And if she decides to live this way than its her own decision and I don't have to interrupt her perfect act.

Avery's P.O.V

I'm scared. I am. And I'm stupid. Stupid for not staying with Luke when I had the chance. He protected me even though we just met. It doesn't make any sense. Why did he do that? Why did he protect me?

Jakes screaming brings me back to reality and I realise what is about to happen.

„You're gone for two fucking days! And then you decide to come home with some guy? What is wrong with you?" He screams into my face but I just stay silent.

„Fucking answer me! I'm so done with you and all your secrets and the stuff you do behind my back! I'm the only loyal one on this relationship!"
