NAUGHTY THOUGHTS ARE IN THIS CHAPTER.

Sunny's pov

After Basil finished eating, I pulled him aside. "Hey, you know how proud I am?" I pull the blonde into a hug. "No, truthfully. I am glad that I'm able to eat, even if it's a small amount." Basil starts to hug back. But what he said sounded... sadder then intended.

"But then again, it still feels wrong. Like a rock i-is dropped in my stomach. It-" at this point, he was in tears. I, with my bi ass, couldn't help but pulling basil into a hug. "It's okay to feel like this." I rub his back, trying to be soothing. "I also felt like this, ya' know?"

He looked up at me, almost frustrated. "You... you did?" He grabbed my head, hands on either side of my face. "Yes, in the time I locked myself in my room. I didn't eat properly, and now I have to make up for it." I admit, leaning into his hands.

He looked worried, did I do something? "And your okay now, right?" His face gets slightly closer to mine. I could only focus on his beautiful blue eyes... "yes, sunflower. I'm okay. And I want you to be ok, but I can't fix everything." Basils face lit up like a candle, looking away from me.

"Really...? Sunflower?" Basil muttered, stuffing his face into my shoulder. He has a tendency to just... hide his face in my body. He did that when we were younger, too. "Mmh. You wanted to be like a sunflower, right?" I slowly walk him upstairs. "Always looking at the sun, right? Ya'know, always looking at the bright side." Even if that means not looking at the problem.

"Mmh, and your like a tulip." As we reach my room, he grabbed the doorknob. "Simple and perfect, and... I don't know, their just cute!" I remember this conversation. A little after we first met, he wanted to show me his garden...

"Hey guys! Look look, I found someone!" Aubrey was dragging a poor boy with a pink flower in his hair. "Umm, I'm sorry..." he hid behind Aubrey, even if he was only slightly smaller. "What are you sorry for? Aubrey should be sorry!" Kel, trying to irritate Aubrey, hooked his arm around the pink color-coded girl.

"Shut up kel!" Aubrey shook the taller boy off, still having a strong grip on the blonde. "Aubrey let him go." Mari ordered, making the dark haired girl let go of the boy. "What's your name, hun?" The boy seemed very intimidated by big sis, he's very interesting.

"B-basil orchid. I-I just moved i-in..." Basil looked down, playing with a piece of his hair. "What a beautiful name! My name is mari omori, and this is my brother!" She gestured toward me, expecting me to introduce myself. "Mmh sunny." I held out my hand for him to shake.

As he moved to shake it, his body language was weird. He seemed scared, like he was going to court. When he touched my hand, I noticed two things. His hand was weirdly soft and warm, and he was really pretty for a boy. He smiled softly at me, and I instantly wanted to be around him.

It was about a month since we met him, and he finally showed me his garden. He wouldn't let anyone else see it, not even Mari. It took two more years to let them see it. But he let me see it.

It was a very impressive garden for an eight year old, even if it was only a few flowers. Not as much as he has now... or at least when his parents weren't around. The flowers were very pretty, yet I couldn't compliment the flowers. Only how dedicated basil was.
