Mistaken Proposal

Part 1

Life is full of surprises but I certainly wasn't expecting this one. After gathering all the courage that day finally came when I was ready to propose my long time crush. To tell you shortly about him, he is the prince charming of our school, Choi Jihoon. There is not a single girl who doesn't have crush on him.

That day I was about to confess my feeling for him. So I baked chocolate cookie, packed it in a box and expressed my feeling on a letter. I blushed all the way to the school, day dreamed throughout the class and the time finally came. When it was recces break, I rushed to the basketball ground and waited for him to arrive. After the basketball game was finished, when I saw him coming towards me, I just immediately forwarded my hand with box of cookie and a letter. I had held my heads down and shut down my eyes as I was too shy. When I felt the box been picked up, I just ran from there.

To my surprise, I got no reaction from him the other day. Rather everyone were gossiping while looking at me. At first I thought it was because everyone knew I proposed the prince charming but no it wasn't the case. My friend rushed towards me and started to scold me.

Karina: Have you gone mad?
Naeun: Why? What's the matter.
Karina: Everyone in chat is talking about you? Do you have any idea what you have done?
Naeun: I just proposed...
Karina: Did you got only him to propose out of all those boys in our school?
Naeun: Why are you acting so shocked? You also know I have had crush on him since long time.
Karina: Ani...(shows the picture of me and Yeonjun, the bad boy)

I was loss of words, I couldn't speak a word.

Naeun: What is this??!
Karina: What is this?
Naeun: I didn't mean to..

Jennie, girl who has crush on Yeonjun , bangs the door and enters the class with her sidekicks.

Jennie: Where is that crazy bitch??
Naeun looks at her and she looks at Naeun.
Jennie: (comes towards Naeun and gives her a straight slap) This might teach you some lesson.
Naeun: (total shock) What are you doing?!
Jennie: Who did you say? Who do you have crush on?
Naeun: You (stands up)
Teacher: What is going on here? Are you guys fighting ??
Karina: No no. We were just .. (Jennie leaves the class) having a conversation.
Teacher: Ok ok. Everyone back to your seats.

During the class time, Karina messaged me, so I hid my phone under the table and checked the message.

Karina: What will you do now?
Naeun: I will tell him it was by mistake in front of everyone. I don't want to get in trouble.
Karina: But he seems to be absent today.
Naeun looks at the empty seat of Yeonjun and takes a deep sigh.
Teacher: (looking at Naeun) Are you having hard time?
Naeun: (shocked) No.. it isn't like...
Teacher: Did you not know phones are banned in my class?? (cease Naeun's phone) Out.

As I was kicked out, I thought it was good time to look for Yeonjun as it would save time from getting wasted. I literally looked everywhere but I couldn't find him. When I went to washroom another thing surprised me. I was about to become their target of bullying.

I was just washing my hand when three girls came inside and looked the door. They were staring at me. As I was about to leave after drying my hand, they stopped me.

Bully 1 : Where do you think you are going? (pushes Naeun)
Bully 2 : (pushes Naeun on her knees) We haven't even started.
Naeun : (looks at them in disappointment) You guys are seniors. Why are you still acting like kids?
Bully 1 : If you mess with our favorite junior then you will have to pay for that.
Naeun : *smriks*
Bully 2 : Ya, look at her laughing. I think we have to show her who we really are.

One caught my arms and the other was about to pour cold water over me. But did they knew that I was taught judo by my sister for this day. I instantly kicked their ass. To my surprise my heroness lasted for only a moment. They were called the school bully for a reason. Luckily, I wasn't hurt much but my pride was deeply hurt. When I walked towards my class I saw my stuffs thrown in the bin like a garbage and near the door I saw Jennie and her sidekicks, this made my blood to boil. Karina came to ask where I was as she was searching for me all over the school. But at that moment I couldn't hear a word from her. Jennie with a wide smile came towards me.

Jennie: Have you learned your lessons by now?
Naeun: *smriks* Earlier you asked me who I had crush on right?
Jennie: Yes. So what?
Naeun: Let me make it clear. Listen everyone I will tell you who I really have crush on. (dead stare on Jennie) I have and had crush on Yeonjun.
Jennie: What?
Naeun: Oh you have bad hearing. Let me again say it then. (slowly) I..have...crush on.. YEONJUN!!
Jennie in anger was about to hit me again but this time I stopped her hand. It was time for me to show them who they were really messing with. I was just tired of her bossy behavior from the very beginning. At this scene there was another surprise that made other students surprise. When Jennie was about to slap me, Yeonjun and Jihoon came forward as if they were about to stop her.
