His name wrote on the sand, decaying as the ocean waves washed over the shore. Each letter being slowly re-written by the little brunette boy, who made sure that his name would not be put to vain. If only time could stop the fate of this name.
"Momma, why does my name disappear each time I write it out?" The boy cried aloud. "I spell it well, my spacing 2 fingers apart from the each other, just how Ms. Tami taught us!" His voice in despair cracking every few words. His eyes brought tears clashing together. Gravity so close to letting it descend to the sandy beach surface.
As the tears trickled down his soft, red cheeks. A pair of hands could be felt by the boy. It was his mother crouching to wipe the the tears off of his face, not letting gravity give in. Her gentle smile made him repeat her by smiling through his pain.
"Try to make your name further away from the water this time, then come back to show me what you made. Alright, Dylan?" His mother shooed him away as she got back on her feet and walked to the umbrella shading the sun chairs. Wiping her hands on her body to get off all the sand that stuck to her. A man holding a soda in his green beach chair glared at The mother.
"Joanna, what's happening with that boy of yours? He got hurt again?" The man, Dylan's stepdad asked rhetorically. Joanna looked at him sarcastically as she grabbed her white rockstar energy drink from the mesh cup holder. Taking off her flip flops guiding them to the side of her chair.
"What do you think? Dylan is just a little bit slow of learning. He will get in one day.. Hopefully." Joanna sat down in the blue sun chair being fully shaded, not wanting to get a tan. Taking a sip of her rockstar, she looked behind the umbrella where Dylan should have been. Yet, he was gone.
Worry set in. "DYLAN?!" Joanna howled out his name with her hands on either side of her mouth to try and make the noise more directed to where he was last.A/N
