Almost 5 years had passed since Hiro met Hideki. Both had a history together as part of the gang known as the duel sharks. But before that Hideki, izuna and the other members of that gang bullied Hiro into giving them his cards.

"Leave me alone..." a younger hiro stood in the corner of of the park, surrounded by the members of the duel sharks, Izuna, Meg, Aaron and at the back Hideki.

"What's the matter shrimp? We all beat you fairly so give us your cards!" Izuna grinned as he approached Hiro.

Several minutes passed as Izuna spent it beating Hiro up. Punches, kicks and throwing him around. Being bigger and stronger than him it was easy.

"This decks trash." Aaron looked at the cards in Hiros deck before tossing them on the floor. Nothing worth taking.

"Aww is the lil boy gonna cry?" Meg giggled as she turned to walk away.

"Lets just leave the baby and his pathetic deck so we can get someone better!" Izuna laughed and started following.

Hideki stayed behind looking down at Hiro who was gathering up his cards. "I beat you fair kid...maybe next time you'll listen when we beat you and just hand over your deck." Hideki stepped right before him and grabbed him by his collar forcing him to his feet.

"Let go of me!" Hiro cried out struggling to get Hideki to let go of him.

"Since your decks trash...how about you be my little slave?" Hideki smirked as he spoke.

"I'll never hang out with a bunch of bullies like you!" Hiro continued to try to pry Hidekis hand from his collar before he was dropped.

"If you do then the bullying will stop." Hideki spoke firmly as he brushed his hand off. "Who knows you may actually like it."

Now in modern day Hidekis gang had all but disbanded with Izuna being part of Yushidas group and Hiro going off to do his own thing. Bit now Hideki was seeming to worm his way into Yushidas group and Hiro wanted to get even with him for the bullying and manipulation he was put through. He wanted to help anyway he could but was not ready to let go of the past despite how much it may detrement current circumstances.

"Hmmm...maybe this one?" Hiro sat at the desk in Yushida and Hideos room putting together his new deck. Tossing away the cards he got from Hideki during their time together in the duel sharks and making use of some other cards. Some he had used years ago and some he bought recently. "No doubt Hideki has most likely got new cards...but I have some too.

"Must you both really do this? It's all fine wanting to duel each other but this isn't the best time to be holding onto the past." Hideo spoke looking at Hiro.

"Maybe not...but I can't just get over it without there being some closure." Hiro replied as he looked at one or two cards in particular. "You guys didn't just let him in without him at least starting to earn his way...so I want closure for all the bullying and being used to do his dirty work."

"If you must then it can't be helped." Yushida looked at Hiro as he spoke. "I understand how you're feeling there. Believe me."

Hiro looked at Yushida and nodded in return to his comment before he finally put his deck together. "I'm ready...he's likely ready too. And if he thinks I'll go down easy...he's in for a rude awakening." He strapped his duel disk to his wrist and placed his deck within his deck box. Getting ready for this duel. "I'm ready...I'm going now."

Yushida watched Hiro as he left the room before he began to follow him. Thinking back to his own duel with Hideki and how he felt at that time. How this could be what needs to happen before Hiro can move forward too. Yushida, Hideo, Izuna and Casey gathered up to follow after Hiro so they could watch this duel. Following him all the way from Senya Academy to the main town, going straight to the park where Hideki told Hiro to meet him for their rematch.
