Meeting Him

This is a short story I wrote about a long distance relationship and the two meeting for the first time. Hope you guys enjoy :)

Meeting Him

It was the day finally. I was about to meet Riley. I've been waiting for this moment for the longest time. I began getting ready. It was ten o'clock and his plane landed at one. Natalie spent the night and she was taking me to the airport. Riley was one of her really good friends. She was the whole reason we met. We were putting on our makeup and doing our hair. It was eleven thirty and we had to leave. I grabbed my purse and phone. She grabbed her phone, keys and purse and we were on our way. I had been freaking out the whole day.

"Scarlett calm down.We have plenty of time," Natalie said because I kept looking at the time worried we would be late.

We got there at twelve thirty and went and grabbed some coffee. In the time waiting for Riley to come in seemed like forever. It was one of the longest waits I've ever had. I got a text from him saying he landed. I told Natalie and i was freaking out. We waited at the terminal and I could see him walking towards us. He walked towards me. We met each others and he hugged me tight. He gently kissed me. I could hear Natalie saying

"Aaahhh" in the background.

We hugged for a little while longer.

Then we walked together, grabbed his stuff and left. And that was the beginning of our time together.
