I wasn't like them.

The populars, I never was one of them, but I liked it.

Somehow, I do like being alone, sometimes, I don't though.

Jake Adams.

The hottest guy in school... No... probably the hottest guy in the whole of Connecticut.

Yes, I live in Connecticut, but that doesn't make me blend in as much as I want to be invisible.

I have Mexican blood and that's what makes me different from the rest, I guess.

Unlike other people here in Connecticut, I have dark brown eyes, wavy dark chocolate brown hair, and an average body shape. I think my long tanned legs are my greatest asset. My face... it's normal-- Mexican-ish, Brazilian-ish mix.

Yeah, you could say I'm pretty curvy in all the right places. Truthfully, that's one of the things I'm proud of about myself, besides the fact that I get straight A's in all of my classes--

"Leslie!!"

I twitched at the sound of my name being called out from the hallway. Geez, Felicity should stop that. I keep getting all these strange stares from people.

I groaned internally, shifting my seat and turned to look at Felicity waving frantically at me, flashing me her toothy grin with metal braces.

She ran towards my direction, poking her framed eyeglasses and pulled me in a bone crushing hug.

"I have something juicy to tell you!" She squealed.

Yes, nerds have social lives. As much as I don't want to admit it, juicy deets about the populars is something a nerd would look forward to in school.

"What is it this time? Jake Adams?" I said, rolling my eyes, getting my books from my locker.

"YESS! He is just so perf, don't you think?" Felicity sighs dreamily.

"Tell me about it." I sighed, rolling my eyes again.

"Really? You're always acting like that when we talk about him." She hissed.

"It's just that... he's so perf.."

Felicity giggled.

I have to admit, Jake Adams is beyond perfect.

He's handsome, a body to die for - with those six pack abs and sex cuts. He's super popular and oh, have I mentioned that he's my nemesis? In a good way. He's one of the A-listers in class, like me. Somebody told me he has a perfect record in his grades. No 99's, just flat 100's. Would you believe it? Someone who can juggle studies and extra curricular activities? I find them amazing. He's captain of the football team, and the president of the debate team. He plays piano and guitar too. Oh, and many students say he's super friendly. He's friends with almost everyone in the campus-- the jocks, the debate team, the nerds, the artists, the goths-- EVERYONE! Unfortunately for me, I never even said hi to him before, nor did he even speak a word to me. Guess I'm really THAT invisible.

"Rumors say he never had a girlfriend before." Felicity squeaked, waggling her eyebrows.

"No shit. That can't be true." I gawked, eyeing on her.
