It was only three weeks into your Junior year of school, and you were already falling behind.  It was assignment after assignment.  Due dates would replay in your mind every second of the day.  You thought you could get a better start this year but all these assignments took you down.  Somehow this is how every school year went for you, you start well in the first week then after that it goes downhill.  You were an average student at most, nothing like the 4.9 GPAs or going into a private school with fully paid tuition.  A solid C and B were the best grades you’d get, sometimes if you were lucky you’ll keep an A for a bit.  You didn’t mind them but it would bug you from time to time when your friends would complain about having a C or not getting an A on their test. Of course, everyone had different standards but them complaining about what you thought were good things made you feel less than everyone.  No matter how hard you tried it seemed like it wasn’t enough to get better scores so eventually you started doing what you could and left it at that point.

“Ugh, that math test was too hard,” sighed your long nose friend, Usopp. “Why’d Mr. Mihawk even add questions we haven’t even gone over yet!”

“He likes to watch us suffer, I swear!”  pouted your tangerine-smelling friend, Nami.
You didn’t do very well on this test either,  You barely finished before the time ran out.  If your friends were grumbling about their grades, it is best to know that you probably got a D or lower.

“I don't think I did well either.” You finally say,  “I honestly think I need a tutor or something.” You bury yourself at the lunch table.

“Hm? Y/N, you're honestly genuinely very clever. I thought you were comprehending everything.” your friend Robin spoke out smoothly.

“It's not that I'm dumb or anything- I mean- I don't think I am, but I just can't focus on anything..” You grumble, “I think having someone there to watch me do work and help me with some parts I may get stuck on is a good way to help me focus and finish faster.” you sighed.

“Have you talked to your parents about these issues that you’re having? I'm sure they'll understand and try to find out what's wrong.” Robin suggested.

“ I have brought it up to them, and they suggested going to a doctor.” you shrugged
“Well, that's good. Why don’t you do that then?” asked Usopp while taking a bite out of his apple.

“We’ve been really busy lately, especially with my mom's treatments and stuff. We haven't gotten the time to go..” you picked at your nails while avoiding eye contact.  The truth is you haven't told your parents anything about your problems focusing, you didn't want them to be stressed out even more than they were already.  In addition to that, the cost of going to the doctor just for them to send extra medical bills was too much to take in, your mom's treatment was already enough.

“Oh I'm sorry Y/N, hopefully, you guys can go soon,” Usopp says

“It's alright, I'm sure my stepdad can take me soon,”  You say with a grim smile, still avoiding eye contact.  Everyone just left it at that thinking what you said was true but one person can look through you clearly, Robin.  You felt her eyes staring at you while you finished your lunch, both of you know what you said wasn’t true but you don't dare to bring it up.  Silence stood at the table before Usopp speaks up,

“Hey I just realized, Zoro, Luffy, and Sanji aren't here.” he looks around the cafeteria for them

“Hm? You're right, no wonder it's so quiet… It's better without them here, nice and peaceful” Shrugs Nami'' “Where did they even go anyways?”

“They all got detention, maybe something worse” a voice comes up from behind you, you look behind you to see your blue-haired friend Franky pulling up a chair beside you
“Heya guys,” he says while pointing finger guns towards all of you. You all greet him.
