Abby stared at the newspaper. Justin still hadn't been found. His family was offering 500 dollars to anyone who could come forward with any information, but to Abby it seemed not a single penny had come out of their bank accounts. There weren't any leads, and the cops weren't doing much to find any. Abby slammed the newspaper back on the counter. Rosalyn looked over at her. "What's wrong Abby?" Abby must have looked fucking insane. She sighed. "Nothing Rosie. I'm gonna go get some fresh air." Abby said, Looking over at the front door. "Abby, It's 10 pm. Why would you want to go for a walk? Whatever you're mad about, it can't be *that* bad." Rosalyn said. Abby looked even more agitated. "Well it *is* that bad Rosalyn. I'm going for a walk." She ran out the front door before Rosalyn could even get a word in.
Rosalyn sighed. She picked up the newspaper that had been thrown onto the counter and read the headline. "Highschooler missing, Presumed dead." She looked concerned. "Well shit. That sucks. Oh wait a second, My 15 year old little sister just went into the street at 10 pm!!!!!!!!!! I bet nothing bad will happen though. Abby is strong. She'll be fine."
Abby walked around the neighborhood, taking in the nature surrounding her. Well, it wasn't really nature. Just random ass trees scattered around the place. Abby noticed the little opening that went into the woods. She stared at the muddy looking footprints leading into it. Abby decided it was the perfect place to just calm down and try to clear her head. She ran into the woods, where there were actual plants.
Everything seemed darker in the woods. There weren't any streetlights illuminating the path, just the little light the moon gave her. The stars seemed brighter than ever, but didn't give off much light. Just little bright specs in the sky. It wasn't long before she came across a pile of dirt just on the side of the path. It seemed..fresh. Like someone had just been there. Abby tried to shove a bit of the dirt off of it, but it seemed deep. Whatever though, she was determined to find out what was below it, even if she had to get her hands a little bit dirty. Abby underestimated the size of this hole, because she had been digging for well over 10 minutes without finding anything. Suddenly, she found something. It had an odd texture. Abby had no clue as to what it could be, but even so, she kept digging. Eventually, she dug it out. To her horror, it wasn't buried treasure. It was a human hand. The hand didn't look decomposed so she knew it was new. Abby screamed. I mean, who wouldn't scream if they found a human hand in the woods next to their home? She stared at it for a moment, in pure shock. Whose hand is it? Why is it here? Why does it look *new?* Those were all questions she asked herself as she stared at this bodiless hand.
Abby felt like throwing up, but decided to try to rationalize it. Maybe someone had to amputate their hand and they just so happened to bury it in the woods right next to her house? No, That doesn't make sense. Who the hell keeps their amputated hand? The rest of the body was probably somewhere else. It wasn't her business. Abby stood up and walked away, not wanting to get involved in a murder ca- wait. Isn't Justin still missing? What if..That belongs to him? She looked over her shoulder, and back at the hand. Abby brushed it off. Probably a coincidence. She ran off, and went deeper into the woods, where she found another dirt pile. Out of curiosity that it was another random body part, she started to dig it up, but this time she dug faster than she ever thought she could. Eventually, she found another bodiless hand. This wasn't a coincidence. She took a stick and marked the place where she found the hand, and put the dirt back over it. Abby ran back to the other hand and covered it in dirt, then marked it the same way she marked the other pile.
Abby ran out of the woods. She needed more evidence these hands were Justin's, and some help from the police. Abby didn't know if the police would help, but is was worth a shot.

Momo stared out the window, she couldn't sleep. Suddenly, she saw a frantic Abby running out of the woods. Momo ran outside to see what was wrong.
"Abby? What happened? Are you hurt?" Momo asked as she ran up to Abby.
"NO TIME TO TALK MOMO, I FOUND TWO DISIMBODIED HANDS IN THE WOODS! I NEED TO TELL THE COPS!"
Momo looked horrified, but not for the reason Abby was thinking. She grabbed Abby's arm.
"I'm sure there's a logical explanation to this Abby. It might've been old! Maybe from an old cold case. No need to panic." Momo calmly explained to her. Abby's eyes grew wide. "NO! Momo, you have to listen to me. The dirt looked *fresh.* The hands didn't look very decomposed and the hands were in two different spots! This cannot be a cold case." She explained frantically.
"Abby, it's dark and you're probably tired. The hands were probably decomposed, and there's no real way to tell if that dirt you saw was fresh. Calm down, and sleep on it. This could all be a dream." Momo hugged her.
Abby felt a sharp pain in her back.
----------------------------------------------------------
Abby woke up in her bed the next morning. As soon as she got up, her back felt sore. Like she had just gotten a flu shot. Abby walked downstairs.
Rosalyn immediately ran up to her and hugged her.
"Oh my god, are you okay Abby?"
Abby looked shaken up. Well, more confused than shaken but overall pretty confused.
"What? What's wrong Rosie? Did something happen?" Abby asked, with a confused look on her face.
"Your friend Momo found you laying on the ground, passed out, right outside of the woods! What happened? Do you remember?" Rosalyn frantically asked, pulling away from the hug and instead putting her hands on Abby's shoulders. Abby thought for a moment. "No, I don't remember anything..but my back is sore."
"You probably hurt it when you fell." Rosie said.
