One late night in 2005, the hale house caught fire. and it wasn't randomly, it was planned. Peter Hale, Laura Hale, Derek Hale, and Peter's daughter, Eden Hale were the only ones left surviving. Peter, being left severely burned, had one last wish, for Derek to take care of his daughter while he couldn't. and that's exactly what Derek did.
Derek had to literally pry Eden away from the burning hale house as she kept screaming "Daddy! Daddy! Derek put me down, I need to help my dad!"
He eventually got her away but it took Eden forever to recover from seeing that horrible tragedy. Derek ended up buying a small apartment, just big enough for the two of them. It was just right outside of Beacon Hills, so she could still be close to Scott and Stiles.
Now, in 2011, Eden and her boys are entering their sophomore year, with a little bit of a challenge. the supernatural is officially making its mark in Beacon Hills, and Eden's dad is the root of it all.
