"I just can't do this anymore y/n"

"What? Why?"

"We just don't work, I'm sorry."
Your boyfriend of 3 years says to you over the phone.

You feel your stomach turn as he continues.

"We're over." He speaks before hanging up the phone.

You stand there in silence for a minute thinking about what your boyfriend, well now ex boyfriend just said. What did you do wrong? You were always there for him.

Tears start rushing down your cheeks and you decide to text the first person that came to your mind.

                          Matty b🫶🏻

                                                     Hey

Hey
You ok?

                                 Could you please
                                 come pick me up?

Sure
is everything ok?

                                                    Yeah

Everything wasn't ok. But you didn't want to worry matt.
He texts you saying he's left the house and you can't help but smile to yourself.
What did you do to deserve someone like Matt.

                          Matty b🫶🏻

Hey I'm outside x

                                         Ok coming x

You open your front door and smile
immediately when you see Matts van in your driveway.

You shut the door behind you and walk over to his van, getting in it.

"Heyyy" you say smiling wider. If that's possible.

One thing you loved about Matt. Is that you didn't have to fake a smile around him. He made you genuinely happy. Even in situations like this.

"Hey" he says smiling back at you. "McDonald's?"

"Of course" you reply as you put your seat belt on.

Once he sees you've put it on he reverses out your driveway and starts driving towards McDonalds.

He hands you an aux cord and you play *fav song*

A few minutes later matt pulls into the McDonald's driveway and he orders yours and his food.

Once he's collected the food he parks in one of the spaces in the parking lot.

"Thankyou"

"For what?" Matt says looking up at you and eating a couple french fries.

"For cheering me up"

"What?" Your eyes widen. "What happened? Why were you sad?" Matt says frowning slightly.

You sigh before letting out a quiet "we broke up.."

Matt puts down his fries and looks at you "when?"

"This morning."

"I'm so sorry" he says wrapping his arms around you.

"It's fine, don't be. I just don't know what I did wrong." Tears begin falling down your cheeks.

"It's ok..you did nothing wrong." He says still hugging you.

"Then why did he leave me?"

"Because he's an idiot." Matt says pulling away from the hug slightly and looking at you.

You can't help but smile slightly

"How about we go back to mine and watch a movie?" He asks smiling.

You nod and he gets out the car and throws yours and his finished food in a trash can.

On the way back to matts house he pulls into a gas station.

"What are you doing?" You ask looking up at him.

"I'll be back in a second" he says getting out the van and walking into the store.

He soon comes out with a plastic bag in his hand and gets back in the car.

He hands the bag to you and you look at him with furrowed eyebrows.

He begins driving again and you look into the bag immediately smiling when you see ice cream, chocolate, chips, and *your fav candy*

"Matttttt" you say looking at him in awe.

He smiles to himself, his eyes still on the road.

"Thankyou." You say looking back down at the food in your lap.

"You don't need to thank me." Matt says as he parks into his driveway.

He takes the bag off you offering to carry it and you both go into the house.

"Hey y/n!" Chris and Nick say at the same time and they both look at eachother.

You giggle to yourself slightly.
Matt grabs your hand gently and pulls you to his room.

You sit on matts bed and he puts *your fav movie/series* on.

You and Matt eat the snacks that he brought and watch the movie together.

You were so grateful to have the triplets in your life. Especially Matt.
