"Okay, I'm heading out Gedo." A girl skids down the stairs, boots thunking on the wood and flailing arms tugging on her winter jacket. The old man at the table huffs, waving his hand and giving her the stink eye.

"Good. Finally some damn peace and quiet. Get out you leech." The girl just laughs, dipping down and kissing his cheek before dancing away.

"Love you too grandpa. I'll pick up some onions on the way home so we can make Tonjiru." He grumbles, waving her off but smiling behind his beard when the door slams shut. He might as well start that broth then.

Yue hisses between her teeth, burying her face into her jacket and scarf. Her hands balled into fists inside her pockets- the cold even getting through the gloves she had shoved on before leaving.

"Damn. I miss the warmth of California- this shit is way too cold for regular people." She grumbled, reaching up and tugging her beanie further down on her head and wiping away some snow that melted on her cheeks. A wind picked up and she yelped, darting into an alcove to hide herself.

Sendai was terribly cold in the winter, really. Right now it was at LEAST no more than 35 degrees.

Absolutely horrid. She hated it.

She poked at the slush of snow with her toe and giggled to herself as it tumbled over. Shaking off the innocent amusement she found in such things- she darted back out into the storm and ignored the slow freezing of her nose.

After a long trek, in which she had to avoid a particularly nasty bout of ice by detouring- the pink haired female darted into a café hidden behind a wall of snow and stone. The bell made a noise and many people looked over, only to look away at the familiar shock of pink and brown. The waitress in the corner looks over the girl critically, and Yue knows- but she doesn't care. She wasn't here to get into a shouting match with a judgmental old hag. She's done that enough as it was.

"Hey! Yue! Yuuueee! YUE!" She rolled her eyes, winding in between the tables and setting down her side-bag heavily on the wood.

"Yeah. I heard you. Now stop disrupting the ambience." Yue snaps, settling into the booth and nodding her head to the other boy crowded into the wall. He gives a weak smile and a wave, before turning to the short hair female beside him who looked like she was about to blow a gasket.

"Setsuko, you didn't need to yell." When the girl prepares to round on him, Yue quickly sticks up her hand in a quick twirl and a waitress rushes over from behind the counter, clearly seeing the tightness around Yue's eyes.

"Hi. I'll just have a coffee bubble tea. Milk Tea, coffee flavoring, espresso shot, with vanilla flavored popping Boba, and make it cold. Oh and uh- hold the tapioca pearls please, thank you." The girl, younger and newer thank goodness, nods rapidly. So rapidly Yue watched in fascinated amusement as pieces of her bun fell into her face and she had to yank the pieces back behind her ears when she was finished writing, Yue interrupted Setsuko. "She'll have Green Tea. Honey, hot." She ignored the offended face and glanced at the male who just shrugged. "And he's going to have Calpis. We'll take some Sakura and Green Tea Mochi as well, thanks."
