Kara woke up in her bed after having a nightmare for the 3rd time this week.

"Everything alright honey?", Lena asked. She switched on the bedside lamp and tried to comfort Kara who was still a bit shocked from her most recent nightmare. "It was nothing Lena, just another nightmare." Kara replied, keeping her head against her chest and holding her hand for support.

Kara continued, "It's just that.....it's been so many months since there have been any attacks on National City or even Metropolis that I feel something really bad is about to happen". Lena kissed her forehead and said, "Kara, it's alright to be scared, you go out there and risk your life for everyone, anyone not as brave or loving as you would've run away a long time ago."

Kara got up and looked Lena in her eyes, "Lena, I'm worried about what would happen if my enemies got to you or Alex or Eliza". Lena gave Kara a warm look and replied, "Then you'd be there to save us, Supergirl."

Kara kissed Lena and together in each other's warmth, they both drifted back to sleep.

Kara woke up again but this time peacefully and to the smell of pancakes. "Morning, hun", Kara said as she walked in the kitchen and kissed Lena's cheek as she was flipping the pancake. She went to the washroom quickly and returned just in time for Lena to finally finish both of their plates of food." This looks amazing honey", Kara replied as she took a huge bite from one of her pancakes. Kara proposed, "How about we meet at the coffee shop for a quick lunch and I make an amazing dinner for you tonight?"
Lena immediately accepted.

They continued their breakfast talking about their friends and work. As Lena went into the room to change, Kara decided to take a sneak peek but what she saw was something that immensely shocked her, behind a couple of dresses in her closet, Lena had kept a small box. Lena opened the box to see what looked like an engagement ring and mouthed the words, "today" to herself. Kara tried to act normal when she returned all ready for work. After she kissed her one last time for now and left, all Kara could do was sit silently and forget that she also had to leave for work in 15 minutes.
