Chapter 22: Incurable Curse (3)

On the other side of the world, Raon and Eruhaben were flying directly toward the path that the three dragons will take to reach the West continent the fastest. They both noticed the presence of the three dragons and saw them in a distance.

"Grandpa, they are flying super fast- as if they were in a hurry! What should we do?" Raon asked with worry in his voice.

"Don't be hasty, we still need to stop them or else, the west will be in chaos," Eruhaben said to the young dragon.

"We will do that, Grandpa! Don't worry! Just trust me!" Raon said with confidence before they stop flying to a specific location. Eruhaben looked around before nodding to himself. Their location is now in the middle of the vast ocean away from the west, this distance should be good enough.

He watched Raon's back as he spread out his mana into the air, manifesting and building up into a huge... fishing net?

"Grandpa! Let's catch some dragons!" Raon excitedly said as he went used his mana to bound the three large dragons from their snouts. They all growled and tried to break out of the net, using their claws and teeth to rip it apart, but it was all useless. 

"I caught them, Grandpa! Look! I caught them!" Raon said while looking at Eruhaben with shining eyes. The golden dragon shook his head before he patted Raon's head, eyes focusing on the three dragons that calmed down but hostility and anger were obvious in their eyes. 

"The three of you, I know you don't know any dragons outside the North Continent, but show some respect!" Eruhaben unleashed his dragon aura and tried to overwhelm the three dragons. They all growled and thrashed inside the next even more, clearly, they do not want to recognize Eruhaben in seniority. Raon frowned at them, upset that the three dragons were not respecting Eruhaben!

"You three big dummy dragons! Don't disrespect my Grandpa!" Raon shouted at them and used lightning magic to electrocute the three big dragons. 

"Ngh! You little rascal! Don't you dare hurt this person!" Roared one of the dragons captured. Raon and Eruhaben looked at that dragon in surprise.  How come... how come this dragon knows the language of the west?

"Tsk! Why are you exposing yourself? The little girl will scold you if you keep talking!" The other dragon said pushing the face of the first dragon that talked with its paws. 

"Raon, we should stay here for a while to negotiate with the three Northern Dragons," Eruhaben said but it was met with louder growls of hostility from the three dragons. 

"Grandpa, are you sure? We were here first to stop these three dragons from reaching the West Continent, I don't know if the Human remembers about the mana-activated poison from the assassination attempt from the castle," Raon said looking back at Eruhaben with a worried look on his face.

"Hm? What do you mean by this poison? I had never heard of such poison ever since I was born," Eruhaben said and Raon told him the incident that transpired inside the castle. The three trapped dragons were also listening to Raon's story, growling at a lower volume this time. 

"...That is why, when we went inside the Black Castle, the Northern Empress's state was very bad! We cannot use healing magic, we cannot use anything with mana around her, or else, she would be in extremely excruciating pain, given the fact that everyone, including her, has a big amount of mana surrounding her." Raon said while frowning.

"What did you say?! The Northern Empress was seriously injured?!" The dragon who hasn't spoken suddenly cut him off and asked him worriedly. 

Raon looked back at the three trapped dragons before he nodded. It's not like these three will harm the Empress given the fact that he knows the history between the royals of the North and these three dragons. 

Raon gave them a short briefing about the state of the Empress before they left the Black Castle, noticing the darkened looks on their faces, he stopped and looked at them with a serious look.

"West continent didn't harm the Empress. We need to have an agreement that the three of you won't harm any citizen from the West Continent! If you do, we will immediately banish you from the continent!" Raon said, pointing his claws at the three dragons in the net.

"Don't disrupt the peace, and don't make enemies! Then we can work together to get rid of the poison within the Empress' body!" Raon declared and one of the dragons refused stubbornly.

"No! Why do we need to listen to a small youngling of a dragon? We are capable enough of taking care of the Northern Empress! Don't you dare create a deal with us!" The first dragon said and scoffed at Raon. 

"Shut your mouth! Do you not see the bigger picture?! The Northern Empress is hurt! and they are the ones keeping her safe! Stop spouting nonsense and be quiet!" The Second dragon said before sighing. He turned towards Raon and Eruhaben's way before bowing his head slightly. 

"I am the dragon of the far North called Li Zhen, the dragon from the North-West is called  Li Lui, and the dragon from the North-East is called Li-Qian. We will bid on your deal," Li Zhen said and Raon nodded. 

"Okay, we will release you now, then we will teleport back to the Black Castle. Just a caution, the Black Castle has capable beings, don't provoke each other, and we will focus on the Empress's health first," Raon promised and released them from the net. The three dragons conveniently transformed into their humanoid forms before they maintain their forms by flying. 

"I will notify the human now! Stay put!" Raon told them before flying to a distance, opening his communication device to call Cale. Answering the call, Raon saw the face of Cale.

"Human! We were able to stop the three dragons! They will come with us quietly to see the Empress," Raon told Cale and he saw the worry and confusion on his face. 

"They will come... quietly? Really?"

"Yes! They want to see the Empress! We will go there now," Raon said and saw Cale pursing his lips. 

"While you are all coming back, formulate a certain magic that could prevent the dragons from using their attributes while going to the west. It shouldn't be permanent and maybe something they could wear so that if they ever touch any being in the West, they won't harm the other person." Cale said and Raon nodded.

He went back to the four dragons before nodding to Eruhaben. 

"It's time to go to the Black Castle," Raon said and they all went in the direction of the black castle.
