Chapter 12 - A Mysterious Dimension

Capricorn's POV

I was just in 8th Period, and Libra was currently in the middle of a mental breakdown. At least I know how to comfort her. Then, she took deep breaths, and that calmed her down. As it should, deep breaths help most of the time. Then, the bell rang. "Wanna come over to our place later today? I'm sure my parents would allow it." I offered Libra. "Yeah, I'd like that. I'll see what I can do." She smiled. That made me smile. It was good to see her smiling again. "Can-can I come to Capricorn? I wouldn't mind." Cancer added, smiling hopefully. "Sure thing, you're both sisters anyway." I smiled at Cancer, and she smiled back. Then, I caught sight of a certain blue-headed, winged boy walking my way. Virgo. "Hey, Capricorn!" He smiled brightly. "Do you wanna walk to our cars together?" We locked eyes as I looked away, then looked back. I didn't wanna just look away without a reason. That'd be rude. "Yeah, sure. I'll walk with you." I smiled softly and walked up to him. I then left Mr. Draco's room with Virgo.

We were just chatting, as usual. But then, "Uh, so, sorry if this sounds a bit weird, but I've been curious about this. Do you remember the kiss?" Virgo just randomly asked me this as it flooded back. "Uh- Well, I-um..." I stammered as I felt my face getting hot. I covered my face and took some deep breaths. "Y-yes, I remember...that..." I cleared my throat, still blushing slightly. Virgo cleared his throat and spoke again. "Er, s-sorry I made this awkward, didn't I?" Virgo scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. "A little yeah, but, i-it's fine." I chuckled. There was a very awkward silence that was broken by Virgo. "So, are you planning on doing anything later today?" He cleared his throat. "Oh, yeah I am. Libra and Cancer are coming to my house later." I explained. "Oh, that's fine." Virgo sounded and looked disappointed and that made me feel bad. "Uh, but maybe tomorrow we can hang out? It is a Saturday, and we are neighbors after all." I smiled. "Okay! Tomorrow then!" He smiled brightly and that made me smile even more. We continued walking as normal.

Then, all of a sudden, I felt my legs getting numb and weak...my vision was blurry, and I couldn't hear or even feel anything at all...

Everything went black...

When I awoke, I realized I was...floating...? I was in a mysterious space-like...dimension...maybe..? It looked like space, but I could breathe. But wasn't I just at school or was I on my way home from school...? I can't remember... I got worried in the empty dimension....what is happening...? "H-hello..?" I murmured quietly. No answer... I gulped, feeling lonely... "Hello?" I repeated louder. Then, a bright light from behind me glowed. I turned and covered my face as it got dimmer but only slightly. There was a figure...a very human-like figure... "..Welcome Capricorn.." A voice called, it seemingly came from the figure in front of me. "Y-yes..?" I shakily responded. "What have you done?" It sounded a bit bitter now. "W-what are you talking about..?" I was confused and extremely nervous. What does this voice want..? "You know what you did to me." The human figure crossed its arms, I think, and looked straight into my soul... I was violently shaking now...if this thing knew me...it would know I hate being stared at... "N-no-no I ha-h-have no idea what you're talking about.." I didn't...I was scared, and I held myself to maybe try to give myself a hug. "QUIT LYING!!" It was yelling now, and I flinched as my heart was beating rapidly... I hated loud noises...My breaths grew faster... Soon, I was hyperventilating... "What are you talking about?! Leave me alone! Please!" I pleaded to be left alone... I wanted to be alone, curled up in blankets on my bed. Then, I felt a strong force on my cheek as I flew to the left quickly, but I stopped myself. My cheek hurts though... Was I...slapped..? "SHUT UP!! I'M NOT LEAVING UNTIL YOU PAY FOR WHAT YOU DID TO ME!!" I flinched again, and I tried to back up. "Please stop! I want to go home!!" I cried out. I was hyperventilating...I just wanna go home... "How about this, then? If you beat me in a game of chess, I'll leave you alone and wake you up. However, I win, I get to take your soul.." "My-my soul...?" I gasped. The figure nodded and held its hand out with a chessboard on it. I looked down at it. It had all the pieces in place. "But, I don't know how to play Chess...I've never played it before.." I admitted, still on edge. The voice explained what to do, though it sounded bitter, and after a long game of chess, I had won.
"Checkmate." I knocked down the figure's last piece swiftly. "NO, YOU CHEATED!!" the voice snapped. "What?! No, I won fairly!" I spat back. The figure raised what looked like a hand, and it slapped me again. I flew back again, but I stopped myself. "Fine, if you won't accept the fact that you cheated, I'll give you a curse.." The voice sounded ominous and...even, evil now... I felt something grab me, tight. And I couldn't move. "Let...me...GO!" I yelled and continued to try and escape. I couldn't free myself however and I was starting to panic... Then a giant wave of pure pain and agony surged through me. I let out a scream, and all that went through my mind was terror, fear, and pain. "I grant you this curse, and the ONLY person it doesn't harm is you." The voice explained. The pain grew immensely, and I felt like my organs were exploding from the inside! I let out another yell of agony as my vision faded... Was this the end..? No! It can't be... There's so much I still need to do! But....all I felt was pain as my vision faded, and all I saw was darkness...
