JACK:

Upstairs of their small wooden house, Jack was sleeping peacefully in his room dreaming about playing with Ripper in the afternoon sun, when suddenly

CLANK, BANG, CLANK "Oh!"

I shoot out of bed like a bullet, tripping on my sheets while doing so and falling face first on the floor with a thud, I scramble to my feet and sprint out the door of my room. But not before I hit my forehead on the doorpost. I got myself together and ran down the stairs, three at a time and tripping on the last step. I grumble incoherently while picking myself up

"AHHHH" someone screamed from the kitchen

"RAINA!" I yelled, I sprint down the hallway, grabbing the sword that was leaning against the wall while doing so and threw open the kitchen door holding the sword up threateningly.

It took a while for me to adjust to the sudden light, when I did, I was greeted by a strange sight. Raina was standing on the kitchen counter with a pan in one hand and a spatula in the other, she was staring towards the kitchen wall with wide, unblinking eyes that held a hint of mischief and humor, what? For a moment nothing happened, then Raina slowly turned to look at me.

"Ah hahahaha" Raina started laughing uncontrollably "you *gasp* should have *gasp* seen *gasp* your face." she said in between her laughs. I stared at her in disbelief.

"Raina!"

"What?" she asked, still laughing. "I thought you were in danger or something" I answered with annoyance and agitation.

Logically, I knew that she would be safe, but I still can't help worrying. She's my sister in all but blood, no matter how annoying she is at times.

Raina stopped laughing, rolled her eyes, and jumped off the counter "what danger? We're completely surrounded by both water, and a magical barrier. And the animals in the forest never bother us." she stated.
Ok, yes, she has a point. "honestly Jack, it's like the world outside doesn't even exi-" she cut off abruptly just as someone knocked on the door
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK "HELLO? ANYONE HOME" and she jinxed it.

We both froze and looked at each other with wide, fearful eyes. I slowly inched towards the door, sword raised and ready to strike. Raina followed behind me using the pan as a sword. All the while thinking that it's way too early for this.

ANABELLE:

I was picking berries in my family's garden and humming to myself. Technically I'm not allowed outside the house, the dark order made it clear that anyone under the age of 18 who were seen outside before and after curfew would be killed.

But I didn't care, I had nothing to lose, my parents were tortured and taken prisoner and my older sister was killed right in front of me. Besides, I was never one to follow the rules of those I don't respect.

I was only 9 when my town was taken over by Tidus's followers, known as the Dark Order. Tidus Von Stein, is the leader of the dark nation, he's cold, ruthless, merciless, and an overall monster, and so are his followers.

I sighed and shook my head, attempting to rid myself of the painful thoughts. This is when I noticed something in the blackberry bush I was picking from. It looked like a pendant, about the size of a quarter, with a dragon stamped onto each side. I looked closer and noticed the words stamped just below the dragon.

"Hey! You girl!" shouted a deep, male voice from behind, effectively distracting me from the pendant. I froze, and slowly turned around and noticed three men in long black robes, and a red mask that covered their faces.
I've been caught.
"What are you doing out here?" I turned my attention back to the pendant. Being sure to keep my face blank so they don't see just how scared I am.
