Allysa x Regine x Ariel one shot

The Gift

 "Allysa, anak?", Ariel said as he opened the door of Allysa's room. He found Allysa sitting at the side of her bed staring at the gift na binigay ni Regine. He walked slowly towards his daughter and sat in front of her. He sighed and smiled. "Ba't hindi mo pa binubuksan yan?", he asked. Allysa's eyes were glued to the paper bag. "Hindi ka ba masaya?", Ariel added. Allysa took a deep breath and looked at her dad. She wanted to open the paper bag but she can't bring herself to open it. "Hindi ko lang po alam kung pano.. anong mararamdaman ko. ", Allysa honestly answered. Ariel held her daughter's hand to assure her that all is well and that he understands. "No pressure, Anak.", he said. Allysa smiled upon hearing those words. "Everything takes time. And so does the healing. Take your time, anak. When the time is right, remember?", Ariel added. Allysa nodded, "Salamat, Tay.", she responded with a smile. " 

 Later that night, Allysa couldn't sleep. She got up from her bed and went straight to the cabinet where she hid her mother's gift. Hinawakan niya ang knob ng cabinet. " Bubuksan ko ba? ", she thought. Then she paced back and forth with the same thought in her mind. After almost 10 minutes of fighting with herself, she decided to take it out of the cabinet. Dinala niya ito sa kama niya. Dahan-dahan niyang binuksan ang maliit na paper bag. Napangiti siya, "Ang cute naman neto.", ang sabi niya. Pagkabukas niya ng paper bag ay bumungad sa kanya ang maliit na kahon. On top of it was a small handwritten note. Binasa niya ito. 

 "I'm proud of you, our Champ. I hope you'll like this gift. It gave me you. And has led me back to you." - RS. 

 Allysa almost teared up. But she managed to stop it when she saw the small box. Kinuha niya ito at dahan-dahang binuksan. 

 It was a necklace that had a pendant of a ring on it-the ring Ariel gave Regine when he proposed to her 25 years ago.
