Chapter 2: Birthday

I open the door and i see all my friends: Cher, Mia and Nicholas. I'm gonna tell you one thing, Nicholas is gay, we knew since long time ago.

"Hi, my sweetie bae" Cher says, giving each other a kiss on the cheek.

"Hello, my sweetie not lesbian friend" Mia says giving me a hug.

"Hi, my sweetie girl-friend, not lesbian with a perfect manicure, and with a great bum by the way"Nicholas says with excitement in his voice and all of us laugh.

"Hey sorry i didn't call ya', my mom grounded me, but i convinced her not to by cleaning all the house for her, I'm sorry Alex"

God, i feel in home and safe when someone calls me Alex, i don't know why, maybe because i'm used to hear people calling me Kate, except from my friends, they are the only one who know this and as well as my babysitter, and if someone who is not my friend calls me Alex, I will feel safe. I really like it.

" It is okay, no worries" I say to Mia

"Lets go" I continue, and we walk up the stairs.

My dad's friends are all over the downstairs floor, and i know they're fucking pedophiles and I don't want my friends to be there, and by the way, I just don't wanna stay close.

We enter to my room, and Cher starts taking out movies, Mia takes out snacks and... *Ding Dong*, Who the hell is that?

I go downstairs and open the door....Oh shit, my 'boyfriend', yes, i have a boyfriends. In my freshman year, my dad was 'very worried' about me being so lonely, C'mon, I have friends, and so like the selfish dad I have, he paid a freshman boy from another school, so he could move and pretend to be my "hot popular boyfriend", I mean he kinda hot, but he's is not my type. My dad thinks I'm so dumb to not notice the deal they made, but I prefer it like thta, i don't want to upset my dad about it, besides he's so busy to pay attention to me.

" Hey Patrick" I said

" Hi, Love, I'm gonna catch your dad it the kitchen, ok?" He says while walking in and goes with my dad.

"Okay" better for me, I say in my mind.

"Oh, I almost forgot, Happy Birthday, baby" He goes back and kiss me.

Then i go upstairs.

"Who was that?"Cher asks

" No one" I reply

" Really, I heard a loud 'Ding Dong'

Yeah, the ring is really loud.

"It was Patrick"

"Ah!, so, no one, never mind" Cher says, and i laugh.

" Can we watch a movie now?" Mia asks

"Yeah, lets do this girls" Nicholas screams

We didn't wanted to watch anything romantic, actually, Mia didn't wanted to, her ex-boyfriend dumped her. So, instead we watched Taken. Guess Mia wants something a bit tragic.

When the movie finishes, guess what...

"It's time for presents baes"" Cher says.

"Yeah, lets do this!" Nicholas says.

" Me first bitches" Mia screams

She grabs a black bag, I open it and see 5 coupons of 50% discount of my favorite caffe and ice cream store: Greek's, then a 50 dollar gift card .

"Thanks"

"Sorry if it's a lot of stuff, but you can only be seventeen once, besides you go like everyday to that store, you spend a lot, I know, you have a lot of money, but accept it"

"Thanks Mia, love it" I meant it.

" Now me, bae" Cher says.

She give me a little a little box from Cartier.

" Actually I brought one from everyone, I thought it was a good idea, hope you'd like it, baes" She says, giving the same box to Nick and Mia.

Everyone opens the box that was given to us. When I open it, I see a simple bracelet with a gold pendant and there was letter printed saying "baes", kinda funny.

"Before we all start crying, it's my turn now, girl-friend" Nick says.

He gives me and envelope, I open it and I see five tickets to a show.

"They're are remaking this famous romantic play, my mom got the five tickets left, so i knew... your mom loved it, so I thought it would be a good idea"

His mom is like the director if a theater,which I have never went to, His mom was friend of my mom in college, just coincidence, so that's how she got the tickets. And, I love the theater plays, they make me feel relax and help me put things in order, so I really like it.

"I love it, thanks" I said

" No problem"

After opening presents I gave each one a ticket, so they could go with me, leaving me with two tickets. Then everyone goes and when I go to sleep, I lock the door, so that way it could not happen the lat incident. I prepared myself to go to bed.
