{Hey there! This is my first book based on Spooky Month by Sr Pelo! I'm excited to keep writing this, and work on future updates! Make sure to vote on chapters you like! Ty! Love you Bubs, enjoy.}
Ross had his legs curled up to his chest, sitting down on his bed during late hours to simply talk to his friend on call. Sure, he wasn't MEANT to be up right now, but he didn't mind the risk if it meant risking it with his-...friend..? He wasn't too sure what to consider this friend group, honestly.
I mean, he felt weird around one of his friends, and the other he was more chill with. It's not weird in a negative way. It's more like-...He gained an unusual feeling from it. He didn't wanna call it love, really. I mean, he was still trying to figure himself out...he wanted to wait and research things before assuming he was something. Besides. He's just a kid, it's normal to have trouble identifying at his age. Most times.
Oh- crap-...I never introduced you to who I'm talking about, huh? His names Ross, he's a fifteen year old high schooler in freshman year. He's young, and honestly questioning a confusing amount of things right now. He's quiet, and not very social. He used to bully, but stopped after a traumatic time of events...people call him and "emo boy" though he isn't one at all. So far, he knows he likes "He/Him" pronouns and might be greysexual, but he doesn't plan on labeling himself just yet.
I mean, when he did have a crush-...well, the only "crush(?)" he has had for YEARS is one of his best friends. One out of two people he was raised with. Crazy, right? The thing is, this person has been the ONLY person he's liked. It's just-...weird when he hears his friends talking about girls or talking about dating people just off of appearance.
Ross has lately felt a bit impatient on how he couldn't figure himself out. He wanted...to ask for help, and advice. He could ask his mom..? Or dad??...Probably his mom, she's around more. So then, Ross set up a time tomorrow to go ahead and ask for...help? It felt weird to say, but it was the truth. For now, he continued his call with his...friend.
"Hey?? Ross, you there?"
Ross flinched and focused back on Robert.
"Oh- um...yeah? Whatsup?"
"You were zoning out..? I think?" Robert laughed. "You were so quiet, more than usual..!"
"Oh- sorry. I was just thinking of something...what was the question?"
"I was asking if you finally have a crush? I mean, we're in high school now! There's NO WAY you can't have a crush until now! It'd be a relief to hear you've got feelings on someone, or any feelings in general." Robert joked, his usual-unusually large grin on his face.
Ross rolled his eyes and smiled back, a triangular grin plastered on him. "You sound like a girl, asking about crushes all the time and stuff? Your funny." Ross claimed, receiving an eye roll on FaceTime from Robert.
"Not only girls talk about crushes Ross, and don't avoid the question...soooooo?" Robert questioned, urging Ross to say something.
"Aaaaahh...I don't know if I like h-...them. I mean, they're the first person that gives me-...I dunno, a weird feeling? It's just kinda weird to me, so I guess I'm not sure if it's a crush or not.." Ross explained, making sure to not hint towards anything about Robert while talking TO Robert.
"So you do finally have a crush!?" Robert yelled half excitedly. Ross covered his phone and looked at the door before looking back to the phone.
"Shhhhh!! It's literally two in the morning, if I get caught I'm dead!!" Ross whisper yelled, getting an awkward smile from Robert, Roberts cheeks covered in pink embarrassment.
"Sorry..! I just got excited. So, who is she?" Robert asked innocently, Ross knowing Robert really was oblivious to who it may be.
"It's-...no one. No one you need to know yet, so I'm not telling you." Ross smiled. "I've gotta go, I can't lose TOO much sleep, Y'know? Besides, I want you to sleep and get good rest, yeah?" Robert did an overdramatic and long sigh jokingly with a small giggle afterwards.
